I have thought exactly the same thing as stated in the above post.  And I have a question, what kind of swimming trunks are those?  I know I am clueless about most of this, but it almost looks like a pair of denim shorts pulled up over the trunks; am I seeing things?  I was almost ashamed to post this but it kinda looks like that to me.  Maybe a joke?  Or is that some style of trunks?

I will say also, that I started considering Chris as F1 when seeing how just totally happy and joyous Des appears in the sc of them in the helicopter.  When I first saw that sc my first reaction was how can it not be him. Just some thoughts on this beautiful Sunday.

some of the posters actually think he was about to take it off and go skinny dip into the pool!.....some thinks he is not wearing it properly.....so you are not clueless about this..!..

to the bolded, can i just say :pinkaw:   ...ITA with you...and Amen.... 

I prefer to see it as him taking them off for skinny dippy! Then my mind goes back to Catherine's question and Des' answer.  I bet Chris' face is bright red if he is reading all our posts.

All of these theories make my head spin and so I went and re-read this thread to hopefully gain some perspective. I don't think that helped at all   coz I think I'm just as confused as ever. Anyway, just some questions I need answered before moving on:

1) About the filming that happened in Seattle recently, it was mentioned that Chris was giving out roses but was that confirmed at all? Or did we just assume this because we saw the girls in the pictures with roses...... 

2)About the closed set for AFTR, people have said it's not to prevent leaks as it's airing at the same time as people in the East coast are watching....but what about for those that live on the West Coast?

1) I didn't hear any more on Chris handing out roses and Elan being there. Still don't know what that was all about.
2) The West Coast is spoiled early every week. Even the Machine can't control that. Millions of people have seen it and many are tweeting about it. Maybe I don't understand your question though. One poster thinks a closed set means only selected people attend to control the audience reaction which seems like something they would do. I always thought a closed set meant only production crew and contestants were there, so not sure.

Concerning Number 2. Once east coast airs anyone who wants to know that live west will know either by live feeds, tweets, or websites like Buddy TV. Close set wouldn't make sense for that.

BM I know I just assumed about the roses and I know you should never assume because of what it can make of you. 

About the ATFR I'm really not even sure what they mean about closed set.  I didn't think any of those were just open to the public to walk in, they need tickets and I believe have to sign some type of disclosure.  I'm sure they want an audience they can control and have react they way they want them to whether it be cue cards or hand signals or whatever.  They may just be using the term Closed set to add to the drama they are creating over the ending of this season IMO.  To me a closed set would have no audience at all and I don't see that happening but they could surprise me.

I have also heard that Des was not happy about how the show ended and also the guys were not either.  I have some ideas on that but will keep them to myself right now because I can be very cynical when it comes to the producers of this show. :skeptic:

I lost the thread but I was the one who thought there maybe a possibility of safe house visits in San Fran. Even if driving is not an possibility for Chris, flying into a different safe house location that is  close to the two of them would make sense if they are trying to hide the fact Chris is F-1. Everyone knows about the Malibu safe house. This way Des wouldn't need to fly out of LAX but either John Wayne or Burbank so she wouldn't be recognize. She could also drive up.

The only thing I can think of is that the finale is taped live for the east coast but not in front of an audience? They can still tape it live without an audience.  I don't know why they would have a live audience for the finale and then a closed set for the ATFR. I guess it's possible but it seems strange.

Please SLA, share your thoughts with us on your last statement.

I think its just my brain working overtime and like I said I am very cynical about TPTB and do not put anything past them. But what I think they did with Jason is talk him into choosing Melissa when he wanted Molly and I wouldn't put them past that with Des especially if she is unhappy with the way it turned out. I also heard that she wanted to let Arie go at F3 and they made her send Sean home instead and she clearly did not look happy during that rose ceremony. Just saying...I will leave it at that.

Thanks everyone for all your input. Considering that this is my first season that I went all in rooting for a contestant, I consider myself a newbie compared to all of you who have done this for several seasons now.

 , SLA44...I was wondering where "Chris handing out roses came from" and we still don't know the real reason for the filming either. What's wrong with the fans in Seattle? Don't they know they have a responsibility to find out about these things and tweet their findings

BM I thought that thing with the roses was some corny producer stunt and have no idea what it was for.  I know Sean did a lot of fan shots before his season started and I think before he was announced as the new bachelor but I don't remember the red roses being a part of it.  Just seemed really silly to me and reminds of a little jingle we used to sing when I was a kid:

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue,
Monkey's like you,
Belong in the Zoo  

Just seemed so childish to me with the roses.  I wonder if Chris was embarrassed by it all.

I would imagine that at this time of the year, Pikes market is loaded with flower vendors. Could it be that a few fans saw Chris, quickly purchased a rose, and had their pic taken with Chris?
