That is interesting. I don't think it has anything to do with the spoilers being wrong. If it is live, leaks wouldn't get out anyway, so a closed or open set wouldn't matter.
But why closed? To continue the "illusion" of a mysterious ending?

It has been announced as LIVE. I think it may mean only invited people get to go.
What sense would it be to have it closed? There can't be leaks.

In the days of Jason's season, the ATFR was taped early, hence the reason for the closed set, so there were no leaks.

Closed set..... Simple as the audience will see the final episode during the live show .. part 1 .. and then the AFTR will be shown .. Part 2 .. Closing the set will prevent any leaks what so ever during the first 2 hours .. so that the AFTR .. Part 2 of the live show will still be an unknown entity

OK location for that one wasn't great. But they at least made it look somewhat romantic with the flowers and what not. The above FRC looks dull and sad.
