This is what is so convoluted about the concept of this crazy show.  There is no way in hell that Des or Brooks or anyone for that matter can know with any certainty that they have found the love of their life.  These two people don't really even know each other at this point in the filming, and they have not come out of the Bach Bubble and faced reality yet.  I believe that they ALL are still in that infatuation phase, with the hopes that it will turn into love at the end.  

I am sure that Brooks IS feeling the pressure to propose, and I actually hope that he does not cave in and do so.  I just do not see how Brooks can go from doubting his feelings - to an actual proposal to Des within that short time period.

I know it totally proves to me how much produce manipulation must be happening to get this story they're after because Chris and Drew seem very confident and at ease expressing their feelings to her boldly. Brooks seems nervous of where they stand with each other and worried about both his and her feelings (when he's in PIs, but seems really positive when he's actually with her).

The 3 are all not that different in temperament and personality to create such a huge disparity unless the confidence and fear are being strongly enforced and encouraged behind the scenes. IMO.

because this is the perefect set up for the climax: he HAS to face his obstacle/conflict in end of part 1 and some part 2 finale, when seeing Des`s insecurities. a GF insecurities is his biggest fear, btw...and his prev relationship was not working due to this obstacle.

I see that Brooks came onto this show open to the possibility of love. He didn't know how things would turn out. He even said so in the Extra video.

He was playing and just having fun and taking things slowly and just rolling with it until the Cloud 9 date where he finally saw that Des was ahead of him in her feelings. He liked where she was at; appreciated it; but from then on it became more serious for him; he began to over-analyze, feel pressure and worry.

In his HTD and this preview, Brooks is trying to figure out if he loves Des enough to marry her. He mentioned it both times. He knows he has to now. He probably didn't go into this show like the other guys did, saying, I'm going to fall in love with Des no matter what. He went in to "see" and he is seeing, but he needs more time. He's feeling the pressure. That's why he demanded more time with his family.

In real life situations he'd have a lot more time to figure things out and take things slowly. He may be the type that would take years to figure out if he wants to be with a girl and frustrate her in the process. Maybe this pressure situation is exactly what he needed to force a decision out of him.

I don't get it either. He just assumed it was there from the get go. He's been gushing in every PI. But Zack was declaring his love and talking about marriage too and obviously that didn't work out. So with the Brooks storyline and probably it's true he's just overanalyzing everything. And I know I'm not the only one who heard his voice say "I'm as in love as I've ever been". If Brooks leaves then it would be case closed forget about a two part finale. Constantine left Ashley at f3 and Frank left Ali at F3 and we didn't get two part finales in their cases.

Oh Brooks will come back. It's what happens when he does that's interesting. Tonight won't tell us anything unless they give us something in the previews.

The previews won't show Brooks at all…..that's my guess.
