Re: Brooks Forester - Bachelorette 9 Contestant - Spoilers - Thread #5
Graham left the show at HTD and didn't come back. Eventho, Deanna was really hurt that Graham left, she continued on with the guys that she left. And at the FRC, she looked and sounded extemely happy with guy she finally chose.canyonvue wrote:2observe wrote:canyonvue wrote:I'm with Judiful. My thoughts have been running in other circles today because some things just didn't add up or make sense. I don't think Brooks leaves. And this is why. If the first part of that preview, those VOs of Des are from the end of the show, which they usually are when they're talking about one particular guy and how much they love them, I just can't see her sounding that way after the Brooks drama. If Brooks left she would have her doubts when he came back. She wouldn't sound so happy, confident, like she didn't have a care in the world, like the drama never happened. They would have to do a lot of talking first. She'd wonder if he would just do it again some time.
The other thing that has cued me off that people may be totally wrong is the way Brooks is acting, walking around in those trees and what he's saying. He's sounding like someone who is desperate, who wants to fix something, who doesn't want to leave. "There's nothing (he) can say." Either he's so distraught that he hurt her and he doesn't know what to say to make it better, or he feels like he's messed something up, he's afraid he's screwed up his chances and he's beside himself. Maybe she's mad at him. She says she's heartbroken. She just wants to go home. But did he really leave?
Another thing was the limo ride. You'd think if he was leaving he'd look more distraught than he did. He looked worn out and sad, but not distraught.
I like what Judiful said. Maybe the person coming to his door is CH telling him that Des wants to talk to him. He is taken to where she is in the limo. He's red-eyed because he has just cried his eyes out, worried, not sure what he can say, worried that she's going to send him home and that's just him going to her place.
All these things have made me doubt that he actually leaves. I think it's more likely just a fight, or something he says and she's upset. Where does she say she doesn't want to love someone if he doesn't love her the same.
I just think they quarrel. It's as simple as that.
I have had the suspicion for a long time that maybe the thing that is different about this season over others is that the F1 and the lead actually fight at the end. That has never happened. It may be shocking to them.
Regarding the bolded, do you remember Deanna and Graham??? When Graham left Deanna was extreme hurt and angry at the time; yet, she was extremely happy at the FRC, and her voice bits in voice overs sounding happy. Just saying.....
I watched that season but I don't really remember that. All the seasons turn into a blur to me because most of the time I don't really care about the lead or the contestants. I just watch for the drama. Only a couple times have I really cared. Emily's and Desiree's seasons.

I thought Jesse was the default F1?

Thanks for the caps Love_me!
Anyone, is 'not on the same page' a metaphor? Could he possibly say that to her?

I would think it would be known that something happened. I don't think that's it. He goes home for some other reason. MY gut feeling is that he goes home because someone in his family has talked him out of it.
On that note though I would think Brooks leaving period would have been known if that is the case. The way the sources portrayed the season according to RS and from what I've read here, the end did not shock anyone. Brooks leaving would have been an "whoa" moment that I'm sure the sources would have loved to dish about...but we'll see i guess.
That was during HTD and RS said that from what he heard, who she picks would surprise no one (at that time).
oh well that makes sense then... welp I'll still surprised if something as big as that didn't get leaked out prior to airing.
I was going to (insert any productive activity) but then well...........Nick

Re-watch Deanne and Jesse's FRC. Deanne was caught up in the feeling of love during that time. Watch how she looks at Jesse during the FRC.Love_Me wrote:2observe wrote:Graham left the show at HTD and didn't come back. Not sure, but whatever they were talking about wasn't going to work for him. I wondered if she was pressing to see if he would propose at the FRC, but who knows. I'm not sure why he leaves, but apparently the only way that Brooks can come back is that Drew or Chris has to leave.canyonvue wrote:2observe wrote:Graham left the show at HTD and didn't come back. clueless wrote:What if this season is shades of Ali and Frank? What if Brooks past long term or serious relationship ended without closure and at some point during hometown he made contact with his past (or she made contact) to find closure (or whatever); and what if this is told to Des prior to their fantasy date (by him or someone else); that would explain his panic (especially if did get his closure and is in love with Des) and the devastion Des seems to feel....
To me, and this is certainly just my opinion, Brooks appears devasted and sorry (like he messed up) and seems in a panic; kinda like omg what have I done and how can I fix this; he does not appear conflicted to me or as if he wants to leave....
I actually thought that a possibility once, too. Another little bit of a Brian thing. Maybe that's why her meltdown. Maybe that's why CH asks her what she wants to do. Maybe that's why they come to his door. It would explain a lot of things, actually. Like RS's little comments like "Brooks, Brooks, Brooks". That whatever we see will not be a "good look on him."
He's there for her, though. It would explain why he's devastated and says "There's nothing I can say."
Something just makes her either think it's over between them or at least doubt things between them.
He totally seems devastated and sorry (like he messed up). Totally. He does seem in a panic, pacing around that forest. He knows how Des feels about those things.
And I agree, he does not appear conflicted or like he wants to leave. He definitely appears to feel like he's going to lose her.
Good thoughts.

I think that he's trying to figure what she's trying to tell him. Whatever it was would not work for him, so I really do think that Drew takes himself out of the game. We have not seen any SCs of Drew leaving and as I has posted before, if Des had eliminated him there would be SCs of his exit limo ride.BarbB222 wrote:By their body language, I grew with those who says Des is letting Drew go.
