Her current lifestyle in HW is all about appearances and fakery while Cat's former life in Seattle was independent and with a mission. That's JMHO.

And I don't recall seeing her name on ANY of the appearances she's been to, just Sean? So going to an appearance to support her man is considered "fakery?" This isn't Seattle. She was single back in Seattle, she's not single anymore. I don't see a thing wrong with the way she's living her life now.. but hey, I guess we're all entitled to our own opinions.

Well, thing is, didn't Sean endorse those diet pills? That was just too weird and obviously for money. And, based on what both Sean and Cat have said, those decisions are made by both of them, together.

Sean endorsing a diet pill is completely fake and not who either Sean or Catherine truly are. JMHO.




While I agree with you that Sean endorsing Hydroxycut was off putting and probably a product he doesn't even use nor believe in, I think clustering Catherine with Sean's every decision is a little unfair to her. Sean is his own person and so is Catherine. Sean's choices doesn't automatically warrent anyone calling Catherine fake or insinuating that.

To me she is a 27 year old girl living in LA with the man she loves, having the time of her life. She is still the environmentally conscious vegan that she was in Seattle but that same girl also loved all things Housewife (as she said in one of the interviews after the finale) and fashion. As you all aptly above she is definitely not one dimensional. I see her as a very well rounded young lady!

Cat was very eco and socially active while in Seattle. She took the Metro to work, is vegan & blogged about it, took part in Seattle Weekly (liberal paper) activities, and went on a mission in Kenya. 

In LA these days, she's getting swag at Maxim parties, photographed by papps, hobnobbing with the Vanderpump's, lumped along with the dogs as Sean's girls, and sweetly deferring to him regarding wedding plans. Who is the real Cat?

Is it a dichotomy or is she both?

I think both, mostly because I was much like her when I was her age. I was vegan from age 15 until 24 --- something that drove my family crazy. I talked about excesses and greed, but hoarded clothes as Cat obviously does. Just like her, I would have responded to a paper sign put up on a freeway overpass by this this guy who is all about todays driving and climate change (again, that is what Cat's tweet is about --- she saw one of the signs).

Karen, this isn't about a real/fake Cat. It's about Catherine's journey in finding her center. Something she will eventually do, as I know I did.

I agree with you. I did that just to question the original poster.

I always enjoyed reading everybody's posts here and kudos to those who keep this forum fun and entertaining, I usually check this after work :-) thanks!  But I noticed also some aren't very happy or can't be happy for other people, most of the times I don't even bother reading 'em, posts from ceebeedeedum, melisma or amberish.  If i don't have anything nice to say...i just don't say anything at all.

I would disagree on 1 point: everyone is allowed to post what they want as long as it isnt insulting.

BUT

This is a fan thread.
IMO People with negative feelings about Sean or Cat should not post them here.

I'm not sure of how it's originated (movie, maybe?). But it's kind of a joke when someone (usually a guy) has that hand gesture and yells out "Stella!!!" melodramatically. I'm not doing a good job explaining this... Help, anyone?
