Sean & Catherine - The Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

I am an avid SeanCat fan but I will be the first to admit that Catherine's answer to that question on GMA disappointed me for a brief moment, as I've known her to give a similar answer in a previous interview. But watching both interviews back, Catherine is asked specifically what 'SURPRISING THINGS' she's learnt about Sean since after filming TB. Someone posted both interviews in the previous thread for reference. To me it made sense that Sean's love and affinity for his dogs (they shared his bed for a long time until before filming TB) is something that's surprised her the MOST. It is also possible that he has a very unique relationship with each one, making the whole experience even more fascinating for her. Maybe she has never been with someone who's that fond of his dogs let alone had a pet herself. So I totally understand where she could be coming from for now, until someone else flat out asks if she's learnt something new about Sean (sans the surprise element) and her response doesn't change. Then maybe my red flag will go up.....just maybe.

On June 18, Sean’s real-life sister, Shay, posted a picture of her daughter, Kensington, all dressed up in a leotard. “First day of dance...she has big dreams of being the next @PetaMurgatroyd :)” Shay wrote.

“Please Lord no!!” Sean quickly tweeted. “If that's what she wants, she should just send in her application to Hooters now.”

C’mon now, Sean. Really? Peta, however, wasn’t just going to sit back put up with his abuse. “You should be a comedian...” she fired back at him sarcastically.

why am I not shocked that he'd make a meathead comment like that?? I've reached the conclusion that he just isn't that intelligent, cuz anybody with even half a brain wouldn't make some of the comments that he does. Cat must cringe when he says crap like that..... well, she should anyway.

It was disrespectful to Peta (and professional dancers in general) even if it's meant to be a joke.

ETA: I think Peta and Sean joke around all the time, so she probably didn't mind. But for the general public, perhaps it's too much.

I'm sure he thought he was joking. But it was not funny. But I rarely find his "jokes" funny.

thing is, it's not the first time he's made a moronic, insensitive comment... time to stop making excuses for by say he was just joking... he's just a jerk that thinks he's funny when he's insulting somebody else

Sean's comment is terrible.  He sent such a bad message to his niece and any young girl who aspires to become a professional dancer.  Be a mentor, Sean.  Stop being an a$$

Bad judgement call on his part.
