I've never been into the Jaun Pablo hype and I'm still not on that train but tonight he was super likable. But like so many of you have pointed out, he will probably not be the next Bachelor. Jaun Pablo is struggling with the English language and the lead should be able to narrate the show w/o subtitles.
Des was funny trying to say his name and still unable to haha !
I totally think they were giving Juan Pablo his Bachelor audition and I say "YES!" He was on my short list pre season because he is just so HOT. I could understand EVERY word he said. I also think it could be super cute to have a Bachelor who has English as his 2nd language just for all the funny misinterpretations that could happen. And, it's just fun to have an over the top hot, hot hot bachelor. The gals are gonna go nuts for him.
If he really is that sincere about putting his daughter first (and there's not going to be loads of dirt and cheated on girlfriends coming out of the woodwork), YES PLEASE ... make Juan Pablo the next Bachelor.
I just can't take anymore singing from Zak. I'll take Chris' poetry any day but when a guy just so happens to pull out his guitar to sing a song for Des yet AGAIN, my first thought is he's auditioning for something ... probably Bachelor or maybe The Voice ... but he's got something up his sleeve.
I'm in for Juan Pablo for Bachelor. He's a hottie but also seems to be looking for love. They say that Latin men are very loyal & make great husbands. Can anyone verify?
ITA about Zak. I didn't find him to be sincere last night. I also felt like it was an audition, probably for the Bachelor. A little too heartbroken to feel real and the song.

Don't you think they want a change. They put him on for a reason and CH was asking those question for a reason. He's in the running I bet and I hope he gets it just to burst the other guys bubble.
The do, especially with Mike Darnell there now, but JP has nothing to do with it... You can take this to the bank.sorry
Who is he?
Mike Darnell - (former) head of reality programming at FOX, credited with starting American Idol, and one of the heads that rolled in the recent bloodbath following the ratings plunge that was American Idol season 13. Warner Bros immediately hired him as the head of their reality programming. Warner Bros properties include The Voice USA and The Bachelor USA franchises. So depending on how hands-on his role with the WB properties will be, we could see some changes at TB.

IKR? And if Zak was being sincere, it was all a bit too much. A poem in invisible ink AND a self-penned guitar-played song? It's as though Juan Pablo & Zak traded stereotypes, with Zak as the emo-passionate Latin lover who can't get over his unrequited "great love" easily or quickly. He's like a character out of a Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel.
Re Latin Lovers - the stereotype is they are very loyal husbands - they will never leave you for their girlfriends. ;)
(just being snarky - no offense intended!)

I am all for a Juan Pablo season - I haven't watched an entire season in I can't remember when because I have been so disinterested in the principal but Juan Pablo would definitely bring me back into the fold!
As for Zak, he is just way too cornball for me....I am embarrassed FOR him when he starts all this poetry and singing stuff. Ridiculous at best. Sorry. JMHO. I could never watch a Zak season - nononononononono!

Is Zak Waddell Open to Being the Next 'Bachelor'?
his answer : Zak tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest: “Honestly, yes. I believed in the process. It makes you put your best foot forward.”
So you can take his portion on MTA as his audition

We are on the same page tonight. James is telling the truth, only one will be chosen in the end and the 24 willbe sent home to restart their lives. I guess they suppose to ignore what they see going on and fall in love anyway and just ignore reality.
That whole thing with Des ripping into first Ben, then Brian and finally James was so scripted, and I have no doubt that Des DID NOT CARE one iota about ANY of those so-called "bad guys" by the time that the MTA was filmed. In fact, Des probably had to be reminded by the producers what exactly had transpired so that she could act sufficently indignant toward them. So, I was disappointed with Des, but I have no doubt that she was "heavily encouraged" to follow the script. They needed something to fill up that two hours with.
And, I am still wondering how Dan just so happened to run into Ben's ex-gf in Las Vegas, Brody's mother, and how she supposedly spilled her guts to him about Ben. Something does not add up with this either. And I could not understand what it was that Dan said to Ben about cheating. But, that whole conversation seemed really weird to me, since I did not remember Dan being involved in any of the Michael G, Mikey, Ben drama prior to Dan being eliminated. So, why would Brody's mom look up Dan in Las Vegas, of all people? I barely even remember Dan being on the show.

These guys have signed contracts. Sometimes they have to do things cringeworthy. Dan's whole thing last night smacked of that. Who knows how much crap he threw out.

JUAN PABLO!!!
Last night was worth watching just for his segment. He is hot, adorable, charming, funny, sweet. Obviously, I could go on. I would LOVE him as the next Bachelor. And I think his English is just fine. It's not perfect. But I have no trouble understanding what he's saying. He and Drew were always my faves. I still love Drew. But I think Juan Pablo would be an even better Bachelor than Drew.
But I still have this feeling that the Bachelor will not be anyone from this season.
Okay, one more time ...

Hmm, that is interesting. I guess that I might have found it more believable if it had been someone other than Dan spouting all that stuff about Ben. If that had come out of Michael G's mouth, for instance, then it could have at least seemed plausible....but not with Dan.
I guess I should never be surprised anymore by anything that the producers come up with. But this is just another example that makes me wonder how the heck the Bachelor franchise can continue to find these people, who are willing to sign away all their rights in a contract that clearly does not favor the contestants. Ben is a good example of what I mean. In my mind, he clearly was used and abused by the producers, and he gave them plenty of soundbites for them to use against him and to create his "character" for the edit. Are these people really that stupid or what?

I seriously wonder about that myself. I guess the show couldn't convince Michael G to do it, so someone had to and Dan said ok?
As for Dan, I do know when he left he said something about how fake Ben was.

I would like to liken the situation between signing a contract for this franchise and signing the pre-op forms for surgery or a diagnostic procedure.
Listed is a multitude of things that might happen, in case they do, they want to make sure you are well informed ahead of time. They cover them. But it doesn't mean they will happen only that the possibility exists. Only in the case of a medical situation often these things don't happen and in TB they can and do happen.
