Felt bad for Bryden that he was made to leave this way. Clearly he wasn't feeling it and neither was Des. Why not just let him leave last week? Maybe because he is an Iraqi war vet and they don't want to seem unpatriotic or some such stupid thing.

I see a lot of chemistry between Des and Brooks, but, I don't know that I see anything else there. It is starting to remind me more and more of Emily and Arie. Not that I doubt she chooses him, just that I really don't see it lasting, but, time will tell.

I am also really surprised at how much she likes Zak. She really seems to enjoy his company and his sense of humour. I also think producers are editing him as a possible Bachelor. Out of this bunch, he would be my only pick for that. A man who thought of becoming a priest can't be all bad and he does seem very sincere to me.

All in all, I am liking the group dates much more this season than the 1 on 1 dates. I think it is because Des is more comfortable with them in a group. She seems more natural, more like the Des from Sean's season when in a group setting. Maybe because the guys fucus is spread around and not just on her or because she just doesn't want to deal with them individually since she found who she picked.

I'm still not feeling this season. After each episode I feel as I have been hit with a ton of bricks and then run over by a truck full of fake drama. It just piles on and on and on and it is tiring. The producers have a lot to answer for. I am curious to see the ratings as isn't this the first episode that they aren't up against the Voice and have no more excuses? I will, of course, continue watching and torturing myself until the bitter end (Why???), but, at least you all make it tolerable!

Sprite, good post!! This season has had too much drama with very little content. And the editing has been weird and sloppy.

Yup, something is rotten in Denmark...ugh...Germany! Something not right and the RS Zak/Drew mix-up also perplexing. He still hasn't updated that "error".

Perhaps he was released at F4 and then "came back". She took him on a date and the other guys had no clue. Though why she would be kissing him if she had released him is anyones guesss. And it does not seem like small pecks either. She was going for it pretty well. Now she feels guilty that she even did that and hence the absence of Dres from our screens and Drew from her blogs.

The only fly in the ointment with this, is the main generally has little to no control over the edit, with more emphasis on the no than the little. :Embarressed!:Des has more control over leaving Drew out of her blog than she would have over what TPTB decide to edit.
It will be interesting to see what the reasoning for Drew's edit is, if we ever do. I doubt they left the kissing between Drew and Des on the cutting room floor because it was too heavy. That does not seem to be their modus operandi.

Yeah but if something bad went down between Des / Drew / Brooks towards the end then the editors maybe doing Bres a favour by keeping Dres out of our screens as well.

ETA : The clip in the preview of Des and Drew kissing was pretty comfortable. Their legs were on top of each other as well. Perhaps that hit too close to home for the new couple. IDK I cannot understand why else no drew.

I agree! Something is off and I think you are on to something ND4reality. I'm curious to see how this season ends to see if the editing will make sense, otherwise this season is another snoozer for me.

My point of view on Michael/Ben - I would have appreciated Michael filling me in on the BS of Ben, just in private. I am sure TPTB are the ones who convinced him to pull out the prosecutorial skills and blast him during dinner. I hate two faced people and people that intentionally misrepresent themselves to get something they want. I would want a friend or a potential mate to tell me and if they did not, I would be pizzed.

I do think TPTB knew exactly what they were doing with this date. And Mike was just doing his thing (yes, distasteful, but a lot of lawyering is not polite, or PC). Mike (and TPTB) were going to have Ben hoist himself on his own petard..... which he did, and then did again in the limo.

I don't think that Michael needed anyone to convince him to push Ben's buttons during the entire 2-on-1 date. He seemed to be getting such delight from grilling Ben. And Michael stated that he was convinced that Des wanted his help, implying that Des had approached him and asked him to expose the "real" Ben for her....which she obviously never did.

I agree that that conversation would have been better had Michael pulled Des aside and told her those things in private, but then Michael would not have gotten the pleasure of embarrassing Ben in the process, which was really what that was all about.

And, in my opinion, Michael did not make himself look any better than Ben. Instead, Michael came across as a bully first and foremost, and he did not take into consideration how Des was going to be affected by him ruining the dinner for all three of them. All he wanted to do was get rid of Ben - for personal reasons - most of which had very little to do with Des.

So, as I saw it, Michael just had a personal vendetta against Ben. He spent way to much time gossiping and spying on and lecturing Ben. Why did it matter to him whether or not Ben was there to make friends? I have never known men to be so petty!! The only bonding that we have seen with this bunch of men is them huddled together complaining about Ben or James. This is one strange season!!
