Ben's segment:
I wasn't really that surprised about Tarryn getting the boot. Aside from the fact that she's kind of sharp-edged and prickly, that squeeky, little girl, minnie mouse voice was driving me up the proverbial wall. Girlfriend, you're an ADULT. Use your adult voice.
I can't see Allie making it to F1 -- she may be sunshiney and high energy, but she also comes off as a bit of a drama queen and a bit immature. But I could be wrong.
With respect to The Virginity Factor, it seems like that's what the editors are choosing to focus on with Angela, not so much that it is something that defines her.
Lastly -- OMG. Matt! I would high five that boy if I could. He handled that razor-tongued shrew with absolute class. Good for him.
Tim's segment:
Tim's girls are hands down the best. Less drama, more down to earth. I was sorry to see Hailey go, but it didn't blindside me. A little self-deprecation goes a long, long way. When you spend a lot of time telling someone you're a huge dork, they'll often believe it, even if it's just subconsciously.
I know I'm in the minority on this one, but Sara seems a little needy. Yes, she's 'nurturing'. But that 'nurturing' feels like it comes with a lot of strings. It feels like she's trying too hard.
Jenna is young, but she doesn't come off quite as immature as some of the girls her age that I know -- she's pretty pulled together. And I agree with some of the folks here that Tim is maybe a bit immature, and that may work to Jenna's benefit.
Ernesto's segment
I was surprised -- but delightfully so -- that Kristen made it as far as she did. But if Ernesto is the player that the rumors are making him out to be, then I'm glad she got cut loose. That girl deserves a *good* solid guy, not some Eva-lusting lothario.
If I hadn't seen some of the sleuthing here, I would have been surprised that both Alba and Kristen left together, and that Ernesto made his choice for Shandi a week early.
you could have said it better! I totally agree with you about Sara ...as far as Ben with Allie or Angela I honestly don't see the chemistry I see with Tim and Jenna...I don't think ben is truly falling inlove with any of them I could be wrong but I just don't see it. And I don't see Ernesto and Shandi lasting too long...I think he would have been better off with Alba.

I think my opinion of Tim will drop dramatically if Sarah isn't the one. How cruel to bring her to the end after the heartache she has already endured. Yes I know you will say it's great cause she knows she can love again but to see her hurt again will be heartbreaking. And after all he said to the dad. I don't know, I just think that will make Tim a real phoney in my book.

I think Sara's the one. Tim said to her dad that he wanted to make her happy.

Hi I'm new...hope I can crash the party!
I saw all the episodes...I watch it on my ipad NBC app...
This was a hilarious episode and great tv, the fathers all made me laugh they were so perfectly protective it was great.
I love Tim and Ben, they are sweethearts for sure. Ernesto well, I feel like I've met a lot of guys like him, he's guarded and deeply insecure. And immature! Despite his altruistic career, he doesn't really seem ready for love and he may need a lot of therapy to get there because he's not open enough.
Tim's girls... I think Sara is a tad controlling... And Jenna's just young, but I picture Jenna in 10 years and wow, I think she's a doll. My favorite thing about her is she is unpretentious. These girls can get any guy, but it's who's right for Tim.
Ben's girls. All I can say is there seems to be so much we don't see. Tarryn's clearly closed off and thorny, allie's a whiny temper tantrum waiting to happen, and the virgin, do we know anything about her other than her virginity?
Ernesto picked the wrong girl. I didn't see a connection but he seemed wildly attracted to her. She didnt seem as attracted back. Alba made a dumb mistake so I understand that connection got lost. It doesn't take much for Ernesto because he doesn't appear to really have deep feelings and let anyone in. Sorry i just wonder at anyone who gets into their 30s never having fallen for someone. The upbringing seems like an excuse. Kristen is adorable but she can do better.
And Matt and Tracy should get together.

I believe Matt is only 26. Tracy is a bit old for him, I think.

Tarryn explained herself on Twitter. As we all suspected, too much is left on the cutting room floor. Matthew had been skewering her family for quite a while before she snapped. Kari is buddying up to her on twitter too. (ugh - careful, Tarryn!). Also, she was recruited by Amber 2 weeks before filming began, so she really didn't know if she would be attracted. She's angry at being a target of the hate, but realizes that Ben isn't right for her.
Even Matthew seems to realize he went too far by tweeting something about 'remember these are human beings'.
Angela blogged about a skeeball date we didn't get to see. She thinks her stepdad is "precious". No mention of the crackerjack box reference. I think she's pretending she doesn't know. She goes on to say she wants Ben to see her real life (away from her repressive family, I assume).
My take is that Kari is still waiting for Ben to totally mess up so she can swoop back in. He's easily manipulated by tears. In my life I've seen his type time and time again. The busy executive who is alienated from his family. They get too little time from him and after a while all they need/want from him is money. Eventually, he gets a mistress but is never 100% happy. His career path is admirable, but he lacks balance. Keeps asking everyone else's opinion on what he should be doing because he honestly has no experience.

Do not agree on the Kari thing but I can agree on the bolded. Allie is reading him like a book on that one. Anyway if he ended up with Angela, she will whip him straight. She is not one to stay at home waiting for affection.

Don't have a favorite, so this is my unbiased opinion...
I think Sara is too much for Tim and I agree with the poster who noted Tim isn't as mature - he's sweet as pie but its so obvious to me he's not on Sara's level. I'm not saying she deserves better, just that to me, she deserves someone different. She really is a wonderful girl.
Tim and Jenna just work. And its hard to describe why, which is why I think he'll pick her. That kiss on the forehead from Jenna - and just the overall way he looks at her and speaks about her.
Many times when a lead feels like he has to harp on all the amazing qualities of a girl, its because something important is lacking - he's compensating for something that's essential in a relationship (the way he treats his relationship w/ Sara). That's that automatic spark, where you can't even describe how you feel, you just know its great and you love it, which is how he is with Jenna.
I also love how Jenna said she wants him to be happy - that's the beginning of real love.

I cut up your post sorry! but I love this part. I noticed this when he was eliminating Siham.. he went on and on how wonderful she was, because all of that stuff was coming from his head. (He knows so and so is a great person, he knows so and so is wonderful, etc) When it comes from your heart, it's harder to explain and I think it makes you question it more because sometimes it can't be rationalized.
Of course after being with DH for over 7 years I could create a size-able list of qualities that I love about him, but when someone asks me how I knew he could be the one I told them it was because our relationship was just easy. (starting out that is )
