It's the nature of these dating shows. And it cannot be avoided. If you go on the show, as a lead, you are agreeing to do lead someone on and crush them. Period. If you go on these shows as a contestant, no matter what your back story is, then you are risking being led on. Period.

Mostly I wish that Sara had not done the show, and certainly not until after she had some other romantic relationships , post Timmy. But that was her choice.

Everything written on the Jenna thread completely backs her up.

I'm stunned that everyone is dancing around this elephant.

I think Sara took it very seriously, as most women who go on these shows, do. I think she must have been shocked and very hurt, as most F2's are (like Arie was last spring . Like Ben was when he proposed to Ashley etc. etc. etc. ) It's awful, to be sure , but it's the risk they take to find love on a show. The show has it's requirements. They cant call game over after episode 4 or 5.

Folks who are more vulnerable than others, should really stay away from participating in these shows.
But perhaps Sara has a different perspective now and I look forward to hearing it. But whatever she has to say -I certainly think that a big chunk of it will be just trying to rationalize her decision.

Bottom line: If she were my sister - I'd have begged her not to do it.

But I also still think that Tim/producers using someone like Sara's story as tasteless. I know Hailey's story isn't as compelling...but just seems like a line was crossed. I guess Sara gets some music/exposure whatever. But I'll be curious to how they play it out to make it okay...I'm sure we'll hear from Sara... I'm healed, yada yada. From Tim: I really thought I loved Sara...yada yada...but I love Jenna more...yada yada. I would never lead her on...blah blah.

Beb - I wouldn't lump Tim in with producers. Yes, he's the lead but that's about it. I'd expect that Eva & Co went into this season thinking that it would be the first of many seasons and as a result, edited in that manner. None of the guys had any say on how show was edited and I am sure that producers were whispering all kinds of crap in his ear to further confuse him.

Sure, the finale is always sad for the F2 and viewers but they always, always come out stronger on other end and I can't recall ever reading a F2 (or 3 or 4) say that they wished they had not gone on the show. For example, Ashley may have dumped Ben but he got to be the Bachelor and garner loads of publicity for his wine business (plus a hot model).

If RFL had stayed on network TV, Sara would have had a HUGE audience of fans who got to enjoy her sing at least 2x (and betting she'll sing with Tim on finale when they are at his home), which translates to built-in fans ready to purchase her music (and if there had been another season, tune in to watch her find love).

If you want to get angry, get angry at Eva & Co. She mucked up a good idea by turning RFL into a three ring circus ... part Voice ... part Hollywood Squares ... part Bachelor on steroids.

CMA, That's a common misconception. The people who died at Jonestown actually drank a laced beverage called 'Flavor Aid,' not Koolaid.
It's somewhat informative how that happened. Someone got it wrong/put it out there and then, everyone else just repeated it...until it became a known 'fact.' I'm not comparing Jonestown/Flavor Aid/Koolaid to this forum..(or RFL for crying out loud) - as that would be in incredibly poor taste. But always happy to point out a misconception.

That's why I've stuck with this site. Nothing to do with a soapbox...not so fond of those. But it gives us the ability to put our collective heads together and figure out what exactly did really happen...and why? As I understood the show, that was the whole point of it. To rock the dating world. To show us what's really wrong with all these other dating shows.

According to Darrley (Hailey/Darrica) that's not what was going on at all. I'm calling BS on all of it.

I am not sure if it's worth your energy to rally the troops for a battle on behalf of Tim's very strong, very capable women 9 months post production when from everything that I've read on this forum and Twitter ... straight from Sarah Moore and Hailey ... they are as happy as clams. Sara seems happy. Jenna seems happy. It's all good. Really. It's. All. Good. They've moved on and in good places. Better places ...

I wont believe a thing till I see it .I think none of it makes any sense. Did Sara have a part in it? Is it all scripted? Boy are we really getting ridiculous now? After seeing Sara's hometown and watching her father and his emotions and watching Sara's all along I think that is so absurd. Like I have said if Tim just brought her along for the ride he is lower than low. But to say that Sara and then that brings in her family are all acting is so bizarre. Even suggesting it. I dont know about anyone else but I suggested all my friends I work with watch it and they all did and all said this is the most beautiful love story they ever watched. So RFL, if it isnt Sara you sure showed Tim falling in love with the girl he didn't choose. Great job.

I think that's the generally assumed position. Just never had anyone confirm it the way Darrica (Hailey) did. That's gotta be a first.

The conversations at the Lava house were so chopped up, they could have been talking about the weather for all we know. Go back and have a look. And c'mon back after the finale...be interested in your thoughts then. Not sure her family is 'in' on anything.

hmmm sad and tasteless... yep that's reality TV. Some of the stuff that I know has gone down with the Bach franchise is downright gross, you wonder why people still watch or even participate. I don't really see RFL as any different. Tim probably figured that he would get great exposure for his band (which he did) and if he was lucky find a great girl for himself. Seems like he found what he was looking for.

What's sick is that Tim has a producer who is telling him to keep Sara because.... the same producer is telling to keep Jenna because... Jenna has a producer telling her that Tim likes her the most and that she should... Sara has a producer telling her that Tim likes her the most and she should... and they all have producers telling them that if they do (insert random act that makes for good TV) that the lead will like them more or they will be rewarded more time with the lead for doing that act. Also, considering Sarah M told us a season 2 was in the works while the show was filming all the girls had producers telling them that if they make this far or do this stuff they will be the next lead. Happens on the Bach all of the time.

Their feelings and emotions are real, but they're manipulated into feeling that way or having the same emotion but x100. The goal is for all of the women to think that Tim is the greatest man that ever walked the planet. This is why they don't allow them phones, internet, TV, books, etc. These women are left with alcohol and their emotions which they end up bouncing off of each other which usually creates more friction. These women are expected to be all Tim all the time. This is why I always thought Jenna and Sarah were smart for realizing that the real love doesn't come into affect until they are all out this Stockholm syndrome type situation.
