Episode 6 - 5/14 - Ready For Love - Discussion - Spoilers

Ahhh .... I am seeing so much attitude coming from Jenna ... Is this some sort of defense mechanism? Have the other girls been so nasty to her that she has to act like this? I really did not have an opinion of her when this show started but I am beginning to see things about her I don't like. Siham did take it overboard but Jenna said things to Siham that would tick anybody off. If Tim picked Jenna, which he probably did, I don't know what will happen. I hope for Tim's sake that if he picked her she would hopefully change her attitude a little bit. Since most people on this board feel he picked Jenna, I am looking foward to seeing some more substance in their relationship. All the physical stuff is great at first, but for a relationship to withstand the pressures of this world there has to be more than that IMHO. :hidingchair

I didnt watch this episode nor did I really want to (a little over it.. would rather read synopsis lol). Will someone tell me who went home for each guy? I know Sarah M for Tim. Anything memorable from the other guys?

Ben sent Beth home, Tim sent Sarah M home and Ernesto did not send anyone home.
Alba left before elimination and then came back after Ernesto told the remaining 3 girls they were all staying to meet his family next week. Ernesto chose to keep Alba too so he has 4 girls left.

Let me just add I respect everyone's right to disagree with me. BTW...Hailey said in a PI that she was falling in love with Tim and I think Sara eluded to it too. So...if it's wrong for Siham, is it wrong for them as well? Okay...rant over! :Biggrin:

I still wait for the episode to be streamed for us outside US, so I'm just adding to discussion without trying to defend anyone, because I don't know how it really wend down.
I actually do believe that girls could already feel love for Tim. You have to remember that they applied for this show knowing who is the bachelor (not like the Bachelor, where girls come on a blind date), Tim is pretty famous (to some), he is in a band Siham's sister listened, Siham might be a long time fan of PWT's, probably knowing a lot of things about Tim from interviews (you know how girls try to find everything about their celebrity crushes), so I think she believes to be in love, maybe even loving him, maybe she loves the idea of him, but who can really judge?
Similar is Hailey, she also had a major crush on Tim before the show, so meeting him in person and realizing he is almost if not the same as she pictured him to be made her be a little bit too nervous around him and the rest we can see.

Come out from under the chair.. nothing wrong with telling us your opinion. While the rolling of the eyes was not the best choice for Jenna... I have to say... I have a young daughter (too young to date but) I would rather have her rolling her eyes about girls in love after a month of dating a guy who still has 4 other girls, than have her be one of the girls so "in love" on a reality tv show. I will overlook the behavior, because the viewpoint is so refreshing and healthy. Her mom should be proud that her daughter has that self confidence and maturity, even in "the bubble" of these shows. That far outweighed the eye rolling for me.

Okay...equal opportunity time for Ben:

• Ben and Beth kayaking was meh. Yes, he kissed her but I don't put the same importance on him kissing as I do Tim and Ernesto. Ben kisses all his girls.

• I love Renae. I feel like Renae is to Ben what Sara is to Tim. They are good friends and there is a bit of romance, but I don't see the chemistry.

• I see Tarynn playing games. She was alternately flirting on the boat and then pulling back. Ben looked at her like he wanted to move in for a kiss many times and she would turn her face away. (Kind of what Ernesto did to Mandy in the helicopter! Lol)

• No Angela time! Hiding Angela and Jenna this week to let the others catch up. I think if the general unspoiled public would see their dates, the show would be all over.

• Actually, all three guys are pretty transparent to me. Angela handled herself with her usual grace and beauty. No drama with this girl.

• I LOVED the conversation at the end between all three guys about falling in love and how you know it's real. Best part of the whole show! (How bad is that?)

Okay, anybody else feel like this week with Ben was sooooo boring? Was it because Kari was no longer there to cause angst? Was it because there was no Ben/Angela time? Was it because I am so over Ben and whoever he chose?

One last thing...where are the previews? How can we sleuth with no previews? Grrrrrr......

I haven't watched this yet.. now I'm curious to see this whole Jenna/Siham thing.

While I personally agree that falling in love in 4 weeks is too little time, rolling eyes is just simply rude. My old roommate fell in love in a month of meeting her guy.. I thought she was crazy because she was spewing out all this love sh*t and I wanted to roll my eyes every damn second, but I didn't because it is rude, uncalled for, unnecessary, etc. Thought she was crazy for awhile but hey, she's now happily married lol.

But I will say that she is young and still has a lot to learn. Hopefully she grows to understand that people fall in love at different time and different rate. She probably needed this experience for the future so she's not quick to judge and be disrespectful.

I bet her mom would have been even more proud of her daughter had she stated how she felt without being disrespectful to someone for having a difference in opinion. Jenna doesn't have to agree. She has the same right to her feelings as Siham does, without being judgmental. It's honoring and respecting people for where they are at, whether you agree with them or not. That's maturity. IMHO

I guess because this show only airs online now we won't get any new previews. That is such a bummer.

IMO - the reason why they showed Ernesto's supposed F1 is because he doesn't have a strong connection with any of his other girls.

Tim does have a connection with his F3. So TBTP are editing it to appear that Jenna, Sara, and Hailey are all on an even playing field. I highly doubt it was a close race. It is all in how they edit the show. I think Tim had a really good idea about the girl he was going to end up with at that point. JMO

Also, if Jenna's connection with Tim wasn't so strong the matchmakers would have sent her down to the garden. That was the most telling thing to me in this episode. She hasn't been sent down there once so far.

Ben's F1 and Ernesto's F1 have been in danger (not really) only one time each. I doubt they will be placed in the bottom again.

Ben also has connections with more then one girl. However, it was obvious why they didn't show him and Angela's time together during this episode. They want to make it seem like he was conflicted about who he wanted to end up with. I just don't buy it.

I watched this episode. I was shocked at Siham's (sp) outburst and that she used cuss words on national television. Sure they were bleeped out, but that does not make a good impression on a prospective suitor. JMHO.

I enjoy reading ya'll's recaps from the show and what you all think. Unfortunately, I have lost interest in watching since it is online now, and there are no previews. I don't know how I would be able to stand not having previews each week for The Bachelor/ette!! I do read ya'll's recaps from time to time after each episode, but I did lose interest. I wish it would have stayed on television. I might not have lost interest that way. :Frown:
