Episode 5 - 5/7 - Ready For Love - Discussion - Spoilers

Honestly it was such a set up by the producers. Let's ask his ex to go on the show! We'll put her in a sequestered house with a bunch of other women all dying to spend with Ben. And then we just sit back , wait, and watch the fireworks! DRAMA!
I think lots of people would have fallen apart from the pressure. Angela's reaction was wonderful though. She really does have a maturity about her.

Im watching Ben's part.. this drama is CRAYYY. and i LOVE it. haha. i love angela though! so classy and mature.

I am having some thoughts on Tim's situation ... Sara L seems just way too serious - a lovely girl and wanting desperately to get over her past loss but she keeps trying to convince Tim of a possible relationship. It seems forced to me. I like Jenna - there is obviously a lot of chemistry - she's fun and seems to care about Tim. Maybe a longer time would tell me more of the potential and longevity chances but I have to agree - it seems like a fun fling for now. I don't feel she really knows Tim - or that Tim knows much about makes her tick either.
I like Hailey more and more. I don't know whether there is a physical connection - but they are so comfortable around each other and she is so honest and up front. I think he seems comfortable because she is telling him all her faults - and she is comfortable laughing about it. She seems fun and stable - I like the way she claps for Sara (last episode) when she was singing with Tim, and the way she comforts the french girl (can't remember her name) when she is upset at the elimination ceremony. Despite her tearing herself apart frequently - Hailey seems to be the most somfortable in her own skin. She is not upset that they haven't kissed - things just seem to be progressing slowly. I wonder if we have analyzed the final ceremony pictures correctly - could the hair/head shot in the box be Hailey ?

So agree with you! Allie acted Bat Shit Crazy tonight. I agree with Kari going home. Too much damage there. Angela is my choice.

That's exactly what I've been wondering! Maybe Sara is F3 and Hailey is F2. WISH we had more previews for the following weeks, it would help!

Allie acted like a crazy person. The look on the other girls faces was priceless. It would have been great if Ben sent both girls home tonight. At some point the numbers are uneven and I guess Ernesto will have to skip an elimination because one of his girls left on her own. I like Beth for Ben. Jenna or Sara for Tim and maybe Shandi for Ernesto. I thought it was a bit lame that she didn't get in the water. I'm a little curious as to why someone like Shandi has not found the right guy by age 32. Not saying that's a bad thing, just curious.

Tim has so many girls that he is completely not interested in. They might as well get down to Sara and Jenna. I think he thinks Hailey is funny, but his body language says he is just not into her. He doesn't seem at all interested in Sarah M. or Kristen and there was nothing there with Danielle. Being a creative person, he may need to feel it more from the start, where as Ben and Ernesto seem to want to get to know the girls more before they leap.

Shandi will be 35 in a month. I imagine she's had a long term relationship that fell apart.

Just watched Tim's part. I love his girls - they're just funny esp Hailey and Siham! I do think that Tim is just interested in Jenna and Sara. I hope we get to see more substance w/Jenna and Tim to prove everyone wrong.

To me, of all Tim's ladies, Hailey is the one that I could see traveling on the tour with Tim and being very comfortable. I can see her fitting in with the rest of the band members as well. Also, Hailey has been in the bottom three for all of eliminations, and Tim keeps saving her.

Yeah, Hailey is my favourite but I don't know if she is Tim's favorite.

From a storyline point of view, I thought Sara's and Tim's relationship took a significant step forward. I think there is certainly a level of trust and safety that is quickly becoming a foundation for them. That said, the editing is not showing us a "fun" connection. There is no banter. Tim is such a serious guy and Sara seems like such a serious girl. Obviously, we've seen them both laugh and I've seen Tim crack some good lines, but I haven't seen this kind of light-heartedness in their interaction.

It almost seemed like Sara was trying to convince Tim why she would be good for him. If Tim has to be talked into it, it makes me question whether he's really feeling it for her. Almost like he's going to talk himself into why she'd be good. Somethings off in that to me...and I'm not sure I've explained what I'm trying to get at very clearly....sorry. Their kiss seemed natural, but it didn't seem to have any passion. I think they have a ways to go in the chemistry department.

Jenna and Tim's chemistry continues to sizzle. It kind of bothers me that it seems like Matt and Amber are wanting her to bring substance, but Tracy tells her to just keep doing what she's doing. Talk about conflicting messages. If Tim wants substance from Jenna, I think he could do a little better in asking Jenna some questions...but I guess that's a little difficult for him to do when all he does is kiss her. All. The. Time. :laughingoutlou

I would expect that we, the viewers, need to see some of that substance shown over the next few weeks or it may seem like a superficial pick...if, indeed, Jenna is the F1. If substance isn't shown, but Tim still picks her, I will be left entirely confused by the matchmakers advice. Thankfully, I'm married so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

To me, some of the intrigue of this show is that single women might glean a thing or two to help them in their journey. Every single guy is going to be jumping up and down if the advice a single girl walks away with is "just make out with him" -- he'll pick you.

Moving on...I thought Hailey looked absolutely beautiful in this episode. CHO, she does seem to have a great heart. I really like her. Unfortunately, I think Hailey is falling behind both Jenna and Sara...and I think she is running out of time. Of all the girls, I think Tim would have loved for it to be Hailey because she's funny, beautiful, smart and mature. She also seems chill...no drama, low maintenance...very caring to the other girls. You know, she has made a couple of trips to Austin...hmmm.

Ben: Imo, Ben let Kari go because he is falling for Angela and could see a future with her.

Tim: Tim is falling in love with Jenna, but he is trying to be realistic about who would be better for him long term. Sara, imo, sees Tim as her ideal partner (perfect on paper) and feels that she is perfect for Tim. She is also so sure that Tim will eventually see that she will be a better partner for him than Jenna. I thought that is was really interesting that we didn't get to hear alot of Tim and Jenna's conversation. I'm pretty sure that there substance in the conversation that they didn't want us to hear.

Ernesto I think that Alba is more sincere with Ernesto while I think that Shandi just wants to win.
