There doesn't seem to be a good reason why they have to have the wedding in LA, and not in one of their home states. And, if they do have to have it LA for whatever reason, I don't really see why they have to plan it from LA. Normal couples have weddings in different states (even different countries), and plan it from their home, doing their regular jobs and everything.

The real reason is because of their current endorsements and probably, because they are looking for more opportunities in the entertainment business.

Sean is very good at promoting himself. He's still very much in the limelight even now in Des' season. For someone who says he doesn't want fame, he sure seeks it out when he has the opportunity. hmmm

Reality contestants (they're not stars) are a dime a dozen these days and are flash-in-the-pans and only get about 15 mins of temporary fame. Sean's time is up and he's got nothing to bring to the table for any type of HW job. Yes, Jillian and Chris got tv jobs but that's more due to their personal careers having marketable value than anything. Jillian is a designer doing a designer show and Chris is a landscaper doing a gardening show. Melissa got a few tv gigs but nothing ever really came of it. What's Sean got to offer HW that they can't get from any other wanna be actor etc? nothing, from where I sit. They'll have a nothing kind of summer, go do a few guest appearances at restaurants and by fall will have to make some big decisions. My prediction... Sean will go back to Dallas, and Cat Seattle, by September or October.

NV - my comment is directed at you because I respect the fact that you appear to be a realist about all of this and have forgone wearing your rose colored glasses.

Did you see GMA on Wednesday?? I was totally troubled while watching and I wonder what you thought. To me, it seemed as if we had lost the independent, fun-loving Catherine. Lara Spencer asked about their lives after Bachelor and DWTS and about their celibacy. Sean quickly said that the center of his life was his religion and then added that it was for Catherine, too. When Lara asked about what they do now he said that they enjoy spending time with his dogs. OK. Lara then said she had a specific question to be answered by Catherine (I don't even remember what it was, nor the answer) and, even with Lara's prodding, I felt as if Catherine appeared submissive to Sean.

My question is this: While Catherine has seemed to have given up a lot of her own life to follow Sean's, what has Sean done to join in with what is important to Catherine?? I'm truly not trying to be snide here, but I also don't know the answer. Catherine has taken significant steps toward growing their relationship, but I am not seeing what Sean has done specifically for Catherine.

NV, in your realistic eyes, would you please set me straight?? I don't mind being wrong at all, but I need concrete examples of Sean's contributions.

I have thought this for a while. Has he been to Dallas even once since the finale aired? Are we supposed to believe that he's really involved in the furniture company if he never visits it? Surely they would have been able to squeeze in a couple days there at this point if they really wanted or needed to. If I were Catherine I'd be more than a little curious about the city I've committed to moving to for the rest of my life!

Just an FYI, Cat has been to Dallas already. Sean flew her there between filming and the premiere. Plus they are headed there and to Seattle in the next month or so.

I didnt watch the tv appearance so can't really comment on it per se, but one thing I've noticed about Sean on DWTS and other things, is that he loves attention and loves to be the centre of it all, so off hand, I'd say that that might be what makes him answer all the time, but can't say for sure. I don't see him so much as a dominant person, but I do see him as arrogant and that he thinks pretty highly of himself. Cat is a harder read I think but I'd say that she's still in the Bach bubble, and like most women will work harder the relationship even if she senses "trouble" on the horizon. I have no problem with Sean being religious and not being shy about it, but I think he hides behind it sometimes to justify his actions. I think Cat will be the one to walk away and go home, and he'll go to Dallas soon after to live in his sister's basement... oh wait, that's somebody else.... :gotcha:
