I've been known to just order it and let him know when it comes. Saves him the stress and me from writing a detailed list

I don't like the idea of my spouse picking out something special for me per suggestion of another woman--my child's help ok, my sis' help, a close friend of mine's help ok--not another woman. I feel it's a reflection of her not me.

I agree. Someone close to me is ok, but another woman...not so much! For me, I tend to throw out hints so he knows! But then again, most men aren't the brightest bunch when it comes to things like this!

Sometimes for a birthday or holiday, my husband will go to the store with me, I will pick out something, and that's my gift lol. I prefer it that way because if he had to pick out something like a purse for me, Lord only knows what I'd end up with lol!!

No way my hubby could pick out a purse - no way. I love him to death - he's the best, but he once bought me this huge wool sweater. It was pretty, but large and I live in the south. No one wears wool here.....ever.

Well, the one year (one of the first years we together) DH asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I smiled and told him nothing and not to worry about it.... and you know what? that's what he did... nothing! Not even a card! LOL I. was. pissed. but it was my own fault. Either he takes me shopping and I pick something out or if it's been something I've been wanting for a while he will just tell me to go buy it for myself. He always gets a card now though! haha

That is an awesome story. I'm sure my dad has pulled something similar at one point. He did buy my mom a vacuum one year. Yeah that wasn't his best decision.

There was a writeup about the couple one time about them fighting and her being drunk etc, and the picture was not her but of her sister.
If she is that popular, the ragmag will not mistake her for her sister. I do not see it happening to Emily or Courtney.
Some of the bashers don't even know Catherine's name. They just call her the girlfriend or some other not so nice things. She is popular
as he is popular. Sean is one of the most popular bachelors and they ended up engaged so.

The most positively viewed F1s for me were Ryan Sutter and Tessa Horst too. Until now, fans still remember them. I guess we will know how
popular the F1 is, many many years after their season.


Off topic, I finally watched Ready for Love on NBC and I was surprised by how I liked the fourth episode. You guys should watch it. It's
a pity it got cancelled early, there are many reasons why but the show is growing on me. Something to help pass the time before May 27.

It's not isolated to Seans's the bashers & haters from prior seasons, they didn't & don't really care for names. Oftentimes, they hardly have knowledge or pertinent & accurate info about them, they just read tabloids & blogs, then speculate & judge. Catherine's being reported as drunk is FALSE. I believe that even after Sean is off DWTS, ppl will still be seeking her out. Unlike most of the bach/bachette , she's come as the most unique & endearing. Her journey on the Bachelor was more realistic, natural, not to mention she is a very intelligent, passionate, driven, accomplished exotic beauty. Her genuine reaction to everything was so endearing, ppl have fallen in love with her. She's got a big personality, she's witty goofy & bubbly, she 's pure joy. The many fan vids, the many views of their Bach episode clips w/ Sean are evidence of how ppl are still enjoying their season up until now. They are the best couple in the history of the show. Am hopeful they will have their happily ever after together. JMO:)

"She loved it," Lowe said. "She thought it was the best dance that we've had all season. She's always so supportive, though. Even if it was terrible, she'd say it was great."

Granting it's a joke. It is in bad taste. I really think he has no clue about women at all. Strange that Peta and Sean were interviewed when
it was her birthday. This tells me they(mags) are really not interested in what she has to say.

What a classless thing to say. His sense of entitlement has really gone to his head - the apps and drinks were more than generous - what a jerk. He needs to follow the old adage of "better to stay silent and let people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

It's not easy to wait on a big group. They took up tables and wait staff not to mention time from the chefs to handle this party. I think it's expecting a bit much to think the entire thing should be comped. You want to do something nice for your honey--do something you can afford from your heart.
And furthermore, pick out your own freaking gift for her!!! You don't take your work partner/dance parter with you!! I give you a 1.

Sean & Peta were being interviewed after DWTS OTRC, Catherine was apparently not w/ them.They were asked about Catherine's birthday, that proves the mags are highly interested, otherwise why would they even care to ask?!?She is too beautiful inside & out way too intelligent & charming to be left unnoticed!!
Sean & Catherine have become great friends w/. Lisa , her husband, their daughter as well. Am positive they didn't take that as a classless joke. S: "She loves purses! So I'm getting Cat a bag of her choice from my store in Dallas."
P: "What?!"
S: "There's also a matching wallet. Plus a folding umbrella which will be handy whenever she visits Seattle."
P: "No. No. And no. You need to get something real fancy AND very exclusive."
S: "Like what?"
P: "How about a Louis Vuitton purse?"
S: "Isn't that rather expensive?"
P: "...." Scowling.
S "Uh..."
P "...." Glaring.
