She said, she's not a traditional person but she's tradional when it comes to relationships. She said that when she told Sean about her hesitation about the fantasy suite and she still wants to be seen as a lady. Also, it's not because she dated a rapper that that's all the type of a guy she's going to go out with or marry and dating someone that's not like her ex is a big question to her character even insinuating that she's misrepresented herself or not showing her true color to Sean just to get him. To me that's kind of harsh judging her character. I believe with Cath "what you see is what you get". Not pretentious at all. When she went on the show, she met Sean and fell in love. Also, I don't see anything wrong being a rapper as long as they are living a good life and not hurting people. There shouldn't be a big question mark on their character. JMO.

I don't really care that she dated a rapper. It just tells me that she is more edgy and less conventional than I thought from the show.

I thought Catherine herself has made it pretty darn clear:

1. She was 100 percent herself on the show. She said this and her mother concurred in the Asian Times article.

2. Her past relationships didn't work.

3. On FD she made comment to Sean that she never thought that a guy like him (and she made a point of saying beyond his physical traits) would be interested in a girl like her. And that's when he said his famous lines ... "you're smokin' hot" and "I am the lucky one" that nearly brought her to tears ... and hearts melted around the world.

So ... with this information I don't think we can assume that her past boyfriends would provide any insight to her relationship with Sean. Her words lead me to believe that she maybe wasn't true to herself in the past and that she settled for someone who didn't appreciate all that she is.

And the disbelief that ensued after this actually happened on TV-- the massive vehicle of pop culture?

As long as people are truthful about themselves on why these forums are contentious-- then I don't have a problem.

If you don't like interracial marriages, then just owe up to it. Say it on these boards and be proud of your stance. No need to nitpick and gossip in order to besmirch Catherine's reputation.

I really really think that you misunderstood me Lakergurl. My post that I got riled up about is the assumption that conservatives are the most open minded people. Which I think is excuse me Pia, the most naive and untruthful assumption of all. Conservatives are called that because they are not open to so many things whatever their reason is.

If all christians are openminded and doing more actions than mere words, we will all be in living in paradise. If conservatives are all open minded there will no
racist in their flock. But they have the bulk of them. So I CANNOT understand why colored people will be conservative! I cannot. They are the group
who wanted foreigners out of this country, why would you support that.

Im sure Catherine is not and that is all.

Sean's favorite book was written by Bill O'Rielly, so I would not be so sure about her politics.
