Grace, once again I said the production thought that Sean SEAN SEAN! would send Cat and the other minority chicks the first few ceremonies.

As someone who is from CA, very liberal upbringing... *I* myself thought they would be sent home by Sean! But I misjudged him!

Ashamedly, I am off to work and looking for the marble cake recipe with the big swirl in the middle. I wonder if the other Mama is making the Vanilla cake with buttercream topping?

Considering Sean has dated minorities before I doubt the production people thought he would send them all home near the beginning.

But toe to toe, careerwise she beats him.(that's why it is a big thing for her to give that all up!)

I think this also. She definitely beats him careerwise. Although, she probably have more opportunities now that she's in LA.

I also want to add that sometimes I get the impression from people (not from this board or from Sean) that somehow Cat should forever be grateful for being chosen by a white male. As if somehow she is of less value for being non white.

I was a graphic designer. There's not a ton of money in it. Only a few make it to a level that pays well. Sean has a useless degree and Cat went to a mediocre school. I would say neither of them were on a great career trajectory. They both seem ambitious and hard working though, so that will take them far. I have heard the same thing on twitter or reading on other boards about her being chosen by a white male. It's upsetting and disturbing to say the least. Thankfully, Sean is not among that group of small minded folks.

@lakergurl.. If production thought Sean would send Cat home, but liked her, what is it that you think they were telling Mama? Only CH seemed to prefer Ashlee and he is a different type than the rest of production IMO. I guess he could have put a bug in Mama's ear.

OK. Grace please allow me to explain the difference of a business decision and a personal decision.

Even if the producers are similar to Cat and liked Cat as a person, there is this success gauge called RATINGS. And not everyone thinks like CA or NY or the Northwest. Most of USOFA is very conservative and would still be wary of interracial dating.

As a business person/producer, your biggest fear is that there will be an uproar amongst Middle America that your male lead chose the unexpected partner. Your network may panic and decide to close the franchise altogether.

SO do you think the producers will try to protect their pockets first and foremost? Hell YA!
