Like fellow first daters William Holman and Ali's Frankie, Brooks definitely has some sort of meltdown.

They are going to throw everything but the kitchen sink at us to show that Chris is ready to go find the preacher pronto and get his fairy tale started, while Brooks is squabbling with James, stumbling on dodgeball dates, saying all of the wrong stuff (foot in the mouth) and giving Desiree more red flags than Moscow's Central Square. Maybe, like Emily Maynard in Brad's season, he even gets "cold feet" and almost bolts, while production is using every trick in the book to prevent a repeat situation. Ohhhhh boy, hope not.

Yeah, it will be a loooong season.

If the spoilers are correct, the promos are pumping up Drew a bit more than Chris, making me suspect that they wanted Chris and he turned them down. (Unless there's another reason... he's the actual F1... LOL!)

Sorry. I've been away. I did miss something? How do you know this is what happens? Brooks and James are squabbling?! I didn't see Brooks fighting with James. In fact, it was Kasey and James that have the fight and that's why Des get rid of them both. Someone enlighten me, please?

Having hard time believing that breaking your finger in an aggressive game of Dodgeball is a "redflag" per se. Also, Brooks seems very thoughtful to me and less likely to "put this foot in his mouth" than others but I guess we will just have to see.

Yeah, how is getting your finger broken in a rough game of dodgeball a red flag? I would think it would just make Desiree miss him. He'd get the nurturing, kissy votes after that. giggling

I think Brooks, just like most of them, probably just finds it difficult to like her and not know how she feels in return, like most of the contestants go through at some point. I think a little drama between Des and Brooks, though, would be romantic. Has that ever occurred on the show where the lead and the one she likes fights or gets hurt feelings? That'd be interesting. bestbud!

Would they have approached Chris already regarding being the next lead ? They have barely had time to see any audience reaction what with him being MIA till now Suspect .
As for Drew - surely they would have shown us more shirtless scenes if they were gunning for him instead ? Why ! Why ! why ! (not laugh out loud). Can't wait for their pool party to see who they have strutting their stuff.

I agree with you! It's been only 2 episodes! Seems Drew gets a little more time as he's narrating the Dodge Ball game (as well as Mikey).

Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion.  Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

Question: I always love reading the VO's info put forth by JBF and am wondering if once a season has ended and the F1 is revealed, has anyone gone back to see just how significant these observations are in foretelling the ending? I hope that makes sense!

I'm only speculating! *chuckle chuckle*

Actually, from the way Chris Harrison promotes him, you would think Zak is the one they want.

Nah, you didn't. Quite likely it is all part of the promo "tomfoolery". I threw that in as a possibility though. "Everything but the kitchen sink".

They do... particularly in Brad's season with Emily shots in episode #1. Can't remember all of the specifics, but every quote spoken over her related to that outcome, both in the finale and after the show.

Regarding Brooks, this is all we have to go by... no telling what the editors... or Brooks... have up their sleeve as drama. We can only guess if this is "foreshadowing"... or NOT.

Episode #1:
Larry saying over a key shot of Brooks: "I’m going down in flames. I at least deserve the time to plead my case before the judge."
Also Desiree saying she's been in his shoes. Guess she had some "drama" of her own with Sean (a.k.a. Amanda and Nate?).
James gives Brooks a VERY weird look when he gets his rose... as if these two are hardly buddy-buddy on the show. (Maybe they are now. Boys will be boys, y'know.)

Episode #2:
Desiree says to him "You kinda have to go through the hard stuff to get to where you want to be."
(Intriguingly, Brandon says the exact same schtick in his intro video. "If you work hard at something and get through those hard times. You eventually come out on top." Me thinks... *chuckle chuckle*... Brandon is giving a bit of a "behind the scenes" Brooks-ish performance early "on screen".)
Brooks mentions he goes through "emotional rollercoasters" and tells us at the end of his date: "Strap on your seatbelts. It’s gonna be an awesome ride." Kind of like Bette Davis in ALL ABOUT EVE: "Fasten your seatbelts. It's gonna be a bumpy ride."

Excellent! Thanks for responding, JBF. I'm looking forward to paying closer attention, and reading your updates as we see more episodes.

JBF Did you see the preview clip with Ben? Didn't he come off as making more sense then Michael/Mikey?
