Episode 6 - November 7th - Discussion - Spoilers

My honest opinion (and this may not be popular) is that when Brad DID NOT sleep with Whitney in the FS, she knew she was not going to be the one to "win" in the end. Now she's going into extra defense mechanism to make it look like she's not the girl for him.

I think she started getting vibes earlier on (after Mexico some time) that Brad's interest may lie with someone else, and not her. It times perfectly with her starting to slowly pull away.

Of course, this is all JMO.

That is not a bad theory. My only quibble is that I don't think he was sleeping with any of them in the FS. That may be naive on my part, but I really don't think so. He seems to want to maintain a good image for his family and the ladies, and based on the fact that they all were just basically shown kissing with clothes on, I don't think they got any better footage. Now I don't know if Whit would know that or would just assume he did.

My biggest impression after the show tonight is that Kara was not all that into him...She was just so unemotional when she was saying she saw a future together...the rest was spliced over the shots of the limo so that was probably taken out of context and then at her interview she basically said as much. Same goes for Whitney. She was fine during the date but at the end it looked like she was holding herself stiff and could barely stand being touched by him. I'm starting to feel bad for our boy Brad and I think his only hope is Bianca. I sure hope that is the one he really is into...althought I don't think that will last either but, I wish him the best either way.

I havent' seen the episode yet and may revise my opinion, but on one hand, they are a higher up family(his dad being a Canadian Senator-makes a difference) and hence he is probably keeping that in mind with his choice and how he acts. His father has great standing so when he and his family goes to events, I seriously doubt that he would want a trinket on his arm like Whitney with her mouth and how she acts/dresses. I know that some have said that Bianka isn't much better, but on the other hand, she does dress a lot more conserving and acts a lot better and may be a better choice for him in the long run.

In the closing shots Brad kept teasing Whitney by chasing her with the lobster...he was relentless and she kept trying to get away from him. I think she even swore at him to stop it!

I'm with you on this, Anders, and I've thought it for awhile now. I don't think Whitney will be part of the FRC. Not sure if she pulls herself out or if Brad lets her go early.

Regardless, she wasn't Brad's F1 anyways. I think she knew it too.

Yep, and I think that is why the grandstanding in the last epi there too at the end when she had to make a major show of things and pull Brad aside before he could say goodbye to Kara. Talk about a rude thing to do that just shows how little respect she has for others. Then when Brad asked Whit to apologize to Kara, she half heartedly said sorry as she walked back to her place. Shows a great deal of the little character she does have and think it opened Brad's eyes once and for all.

I too think she's known for a bit that she's not the F1 and this was her play to make people think it was her decision and not Brad's. She seems like one of those girls who sense when the guy is getting tired of them and break up with them before they can break up with her. If she didn't know before then his "this is the most selfish thing" should tell her - she seemed a bit shocked to hear him actually say that.
