Episode 6 - November 7th - Discussion - Spoilers

I don't think the dwindling passion comment fits Kara. I don't think they have any passion to dwindle. Brad is finally seeing the light re Whitney and seems far more likely these warning bells would make her less attractive to him. The blogs reveal Brad's dinner with Whit's family to be very uncomfortable. Also, when Brad was recently on the radio in Toronto, he was asked how he didn't see through Whitney and he replied that he saw none of her interactions with the ladies, and then added "or I'm the stupidest man on earth" or something to that effect. Surely not the response of a man protecting the woman he loves..

I'm curious about the preview for episode 6. Anyone else curious about Bianka's comment "I don't want to put you in that situation.." What might that be all about?

Well. Another installment of Bachelor.

Let's see if any of us are surprised who goes home after fantasy dates. For me, normal, not bitchy, with no tragic/dramatic life story, means your ass is going home ... that equals you Kara.

Brad is packing and going to the Maritimes for FDs for the hardest choice of his life. He wants to find someone to start his life with.

Bianca's relationship is deeper. She is beautiful, provocative and liked her family. Wants her to trust him and feels she is really progressing in their relationship since Mexico.

Kara is sweet and easy to be around. Felt like himself with her family. She is the most like him ... which means that's not what he wants.

Whitney blew him away from the beginning. Lots of physical attraction but her mood changes and how closed off emotionally she is, really bother him.

Our map makes an appearance a la Sleepless in Seattle.

Bianca has the first date. She always misses him when she doesn't see him. Lots ot kissing and they both seem happy and relaxed.

Date is kayaking around the iceberg. This is their first adrenalin date and he wants to see if she can handle this as all their previous dates have been more elegant.

They are sparing in the kayak and she is apparently afraid of deep water. He is being very protective and they still enjoyed themselves and she is happy to be with him.

Back on dry land and kissing and laughing. Picnic. She says she likes the view as he bends over to break up some ice to make their dirty martinis.

Fantasy date card...Oh oh...She is not sure. Doesn't like that he will still be seeing two more girls after this. She is unsure because of her past experience and he is not her past boyfriend and he doesn't want to be penalized for them. He has talked to the other ladies and they apparently were OK with this...Does this mean that her date was last? She doesn't care about the others she just knows hersel,f but after everything she agrees and they proceed to make out in the helicopter wisking them away to the hotel.

He is happy she changed after Mexico and ask why. She said it was him! Kissing.

She is falling in love with him and thinks she can make him a very happy man....Talking straight to the camera.

Making out...all clothes on. Not nearly as sleezy as the US version.

Next date is in Nova Scotia. He is scared of making the wrong choice. Wants to see if him and Kara can get past the friend thing.

He picks her up in a private jet and takes her to the resort. No kissing visible on the plane.

Arrive at the golf course and are doing skeet shooting. She thinks this is a dream date because she has always wanted to shoot a gun. Put on appropriate gear. Each clay pigeon they break, they get to ask a question. They both suck...even though he is certified at marksmanship.

Brad's first q...What does she need from him to make her happy...Family and not to take life too seriously. Good answer.

Kara's q...What are you looking for in a wife...To be with someone you share values with and can talk through the difficult times even when you are different and disagree. That sounded like Bianca's date.

Next q from Brad...What did you expect and what surprised you?...Him and to be where she is. She can see them together and happy in the future.

She could be a friend and lover the perfect combination...Ding ding...Chiming of the death bell...Perfect.

She accepts the fantasy date card and off they go to the room with drinks in hand. On the bed, shoes off but everything else on...kissing...fade out.

Third date. PEI. The last two dates were intense and he is nervous about Whitney. He needs her to open up or that is a deal breaker even though she has all these other qualities.

Lots of kissing....She missed him.

They are going lobster fishing. He is taking the adrenaline out of their date. Kissing before pulling out the lobster traps. Have to put the bands on the claws.

Great date and they head off to the hot tub. Discuss if she has been thinking about what they discussed at the rose ceremony. She knows he is the guy for her and she can see them at the end. He thinks she is opening up. Lots of making out in bathing suits but to me she is still holding her head away and not as into it as he is...She reminds me of Emily with Brad in this respect...He is drooling and her, not so much.

She is less than enthustic in her acceptance of the FD card. They don't show them up in the hotel...just the lights going off. Is this all? They still have 50 minutes left.

Brad is dressing.

He is falling for Bianca. She is amazing and is different from him in a lot of ways.

Kara is consistant...Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a woman you want to be with. The only way she will be staying is if Whitney screws this up...Royally!!!

Whitney is physically the most intense. Cue to her in her hotel talking to someone on the phone. She is not sure is she is the girl for him. She wants him to be happy and she cares for his feeling. She is told to follow her heart.
She is confused and doesn't know is she is ready for the next step.

...Commercial just when things are getting good.

Rose ceremony...Whit, Kara, Bianca.

Brad comes out very nervous. This is the hardest choice. He can see himself proposing to one of them and wants his parents to say that they can see him with this girl.

Bianca gets the first rose.

Whitney gets the second rose.

Kara is toast. Says goodbye to the other ladies and then Whit grabs him saying she wants to talk to him before he can walk Kara out. He asks Kara to give him a moment and goes with Whit who tells him she doesn't know what is wrong...This is the most selfish thing....Cue commecial and we still have almost 40 minutes of the show. What the hell???

Just saw on Twitter the show is only on for an hour tonight. Could it be a cliffhanger?

Whit saying something is not feeling right. This is not time and place and he feels disrespected to Kara and he tells her to go apologize to Kara. She does...slap down Whit. Bianca is so uncomfortable.

Finally, walks out Kara. She is perfect for him in so many ways but he wants to settle down...I don't really get why not her. He should have just told her he is not physically into her.

Kara in the most deadpan way says that she could see herself marrying Brad. So not true.

Talks with Whit telling her that she needs to get herself together. He is telling her lets just get through this, we can have fun and you can fit in, but you need to decide. I can't believe that he still thinks that he can be the man for her. When he hugs her, she just seems to be holding herself stiff and is all but pulling herself away.

I was suprised it ended early. Brad was right, that was the most selfish thing she could do. I think she did it because then, if he doesn't choose her in the end, she can say "Well, I wasn't really in to him and I wanted to leave". Really believe that she always wants to be the one to say goodby and does it before they can.

Well apparently the show is only an hour long tonight. This would explain why it all felt so rushed.

Next week the WTA...and it is a bitch fest.

Brad says the women were jealous of Whit and someone is calling him out and he is so uncomfortable.

Whit makes an appearance and is called out. Tells Gabby not to roll her eyes and what did she ever say and do to her...Gabby calls her a sneaky, little cockroach and Whit is "tearing up" ...daintily...while dabbing her eye with a handkerchief. This should be good.

For those who saw the FD episode tonite, does anyone still think he will choose Whitney?

My honest opinion (and this may not be popular) is that when Brad DID NOT sleep with Whitney in the FS, she knew she was not going to be the one to "win" in the end. Now she's going into extra defense mechanism to make it look like she's not the girl for him.

I think she started getting vibes earlier on (after Mexico some time) that Brad's interest may lie with someone else, and not her. It times perfectly with her starting to slowly pull away.

Of course, this is all JMO.
