Usually when shows air in Canada, we see different commercials. That's why we never get to see the great Super Bowl ads until they get on YouTube.

And yet once again, out of the machines own mouth, this is what they are hanging their season on.... So for everyone looking forward to seeing Sean in all his merit and attributes, this is what be glorified in TPTB's own words.
I guess they know what brings ratings.

You could be right but I'm still holding out hope for some of Sean's values and goals to make the storyboard when things are a little less frothy after a few of the early episodes. The first couple of episodes the drama queens and silly attention seeking antics always rule the day. Given the ratings decline, I think they have to employ all assets at their disposal. :Drool:

I am not too surprised by the beefcake messaging since this promo was launched during the AMAs for the Bieber demo. After seeing the tweets about it from the young girls stating they were literally screaming with excitement, I would say it was successful. It certainly stirred them into a frenzy and got the show trending which I suspect was the goal of the promo.

I'm holding out, too (and yes praying!), for the editors to realize the real story. Last season was so disrespectful to the girls- which Ben has finally admitted now that the albatross is off his neck, that the real story would be a male lead committed to being respectful. I guess I'm hopeful that they (TPTB) chose Sean because they'd get that (he's pretty public about it) and it's what the wouldn't have gotten with Arie- who seems to take up with girls at the drop of a pin- the girls they would have chosen for Arie would have lusted after him, for sure, and he would have done nothing to discourage it, IMO.

Sean doesn't have trouble taking his shirt off- after all, he models! I'm sure they've set up beach, pool, hot tub scenes to take advantage of that- and that the promos will use that all the time. They can probably find 10 seconds of those kinds of scene for every 30 second promo. And then when we watch, it will be a pretty tame scene.

I hope you don't mind that I snipped your post, JCRBIL, as I just wanted to respond to the bolded and my comments below are not directed towards you just thoughts on that real story.

MF is one of the creators behind the Texas Chainsaw Massacre phenom along with Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire (2000) which is the formula one precursor of this franchise(TB).
This franchise was spun out of the idea of a main character (male and then in subsequent seasons, female) and their dating journey starting from a pool of 20-30 contestants to a final selection after a succession of dates.
The tools utilized in this process to guide the cast are not tools generally utilized in real life. Besides beautiful wardrobes, travel destinations and glamour, glamour, glamour, psychological manipulation is used extensively to create drama and false realities. Then after all is said and done, we add in editing.
The smoke and mirrors that go into making this show parallel a true 70's LSD experience. The real story is seldom known by the players themselves, as they are seldom privvy to all that is done to them to get to the point that got them there.

No problem.... I admit to rose colored glasses where Sean is concerned... just because he comes from a really solid foundation which differs from the prevailing trend of the world these days. And from what we know so far of the F4 (which is VERY little), it would appear that they are girls who are not the ones he'd never see himself with.... Ben had told the producers he didn't want any models and voila- Courtney-. I'm sure he (Sean) kept girls around that he wouldn't have ordinarily because the producers wanted him to- he acknowledges they have a TV show to produce.... he probably would have sent everyone home he wasn't really interested by the second night if he had his way completely.
