He could still leave in the next couple days and be there for the end of filming. Maybe he picks and chooses when he goes based on the locations.

IA..also based on some of his comments, I do not think he wants to be too far from his dog due to her illness. I have seen some tweets from former contestants offering to look after her for him if he needs to travel.

Also, he could fly out with Niel Lane in a couple of days before the finale is filmed. That is a possibility. I am just trying to remember when he wasn't present for the finale. There have been a few times.

Also, if it so happens that he doesn't make it to the finale that doesn't necessarily mean Sean didn't choose someone or that he didn't purpose. This is all speculation at this point.

I have been curious as to what his family thinks Sean might do at the FRC - date or propose, etc. It looks like Shay is at least hopeful/believes that an engagement is a possibility. She recently retweeted:

A tie occurs when the score is tied after overtime which is exactly what happened.
