When RS said Lindsay would be b-ette if she wanted it it was right at the end of filming- and I think AshLee did fall really hard. Now that months have passed and she's gained perspective, perhaps she's prepared to give it a go. I just can't get over the feeling that there won't be a JP there for her. This season for her was really a lot about letting go. But I would want the next guy she lets go for be a wonderful guy... there are some out there- hope the producers would beat the bushes for her.

I think AshLee may be the bachelorette. They have featured her a lot during the show. We know more about her story arc than the other top 3. They're setting her up for a big fall/heartbreak. They feature her a lot. Plus she did the GMA interview about her fight with Tierra and now she's the one that will be on the media call tomorrow. Maybe Lindsay wasn't interested in bachette, because if she was going to be bachette you would think they would feature her "story" more.

so --- no news on the next 'ette???

I still think it's going to end up being Des. Course I haven't watched this week's episode yet.

If history is an indicator of what will happen, hasn't a bad or crazy HTD been the kiss of death for any of the F4? They usually don't make to to F3, they certainly don't make it to F1, and they never become the next season's lead. Jason's pidgeon-burial girl, Bettina's & Kacie's disapproving dads, Kurt's taxidermist dad, Shawntel's embalming session. Well, I guess Sean's 2-prank HTD makes him the exception to this trend, so maybe Dez can escape the curse also (though Dez not only has a prank but a difficult brother, the latter of which is more difficult to overcome).

To the viewers it will make Yawn appear like he can dish it out (a prank), but not be able to take one.
It seems ok for him to pull pranks on M, Des and the other girls--wake them up early, offer up rough and tumble dates, but should the tables turn and make him look a bit foolish, it does not seem to bode so well for him. (JMO) That stands out to me more than anything about that prank. Hopefully, the previews will prove him wrong and he will end up being a good sport.

I think the "pranks" in Sean's HTD with Emily were mostly jokes on him- he had to endure (and still does by some) the thought that he lives at home with his parents- and no one thought there was any seriousness to the armadillo. We haven't seen this prank yet, but it is not a prank Des in playing on herself (though turnabout is fairplay- he did play a prank on her- it didn't involved the relationship, though), this prank is being played on a man who thinks the woman he's there with is available.... and it looks as if it's coming off the heels or just before a very tough session with Des' brother. Very different in my mind. (Though I must say, Des has been the one for the whole season who has been on the receiving end of "she had a boyfriend" when she did not.

As for the cheesiest/craziest HTD from Emily's season- it's got to be Chris'- the polish marching band....

If I remember correctly, Meredith left at HTD (the visit to graveyard) during Bob's Show, yet she was the next Bachelorette.

My understanding is that Kurt was done in by a poor and inexperienced publicist who he hired.... I think he would have been able to rise above the taxidermy.
