IMO Desiree's date isn't interesting in the slightest. A practicle joke? Makes no sense! They really are scrapping at the bottom of a barrel for ideas.

Sean mentioned that he wanted people to see his "goofy" side this season. Maybe playing a practical joke during this date was his way of showing her he has a playful side. :greenman:

In one of his interviews he said that he isn't a prankster by nature. But he did acknowledge that there might be a prank of two in his season, courtesy of the producers who probably thought that it would be funny.

And I do agree that Desiree's date sounds like a dud, and I am not sure that it will be considered that funny once it airs. It sounds like something that you might see on that show Punk'd with Ashton Kutcher - but not on a first date with someone you hardly know.

Does anyone else think that boyfriend thing was SO staged? I don't get why they'd actually bring him on TV. That was really bad acting. Do you think she eliminated herself at F4?

Kinda exactly like Frank's girlfriend being on set. She wasn't staged at all. :laughingoutlou And how embarrassed is that guy gunna be later? I wonder how the whole departure will play out?

If the "encounter" happened at F4 at her hometown date which was in Newport Beach, CA, I guess it was a pretty easy decision for Sean to let her go the next night at the RC.

Isn't her hometown date not in her parent's hometown? Maybe after what occurs, Sean doesn't even meet her parents?

Per RS: They did not take a day off between filming Lindsay’s hometown date in Missouri and Desiree’s, since Twitter action on the night of Nov. 1st had Sean in LA. Not sure why they didn’t go to Ohio to visit Desiree’s parents, but Sean filmed Thursday night in Hollywood Hills according to Twitter, then the rose ceremony was last Friday night, Nov. 2nd when he went from 4 down to 3.
