Per RS: They did not take a day off between filming Lindsay’s hometown date in Missouri and Desiree’s, since Twitter action on the night of Nov. 1st had Sean in LA. Not sure why they didn’t go to Ohio to visit Desiree’s parents, but Sean filmed Thursday night in Hollywood Hills according to Twitter, then the rose ceremony was last Friday night, Nov. 2nd when he went from 4 down to 3.

Speculating... hm... perhaps she let producers know that she still had feelings for her ex boyfriend and wanted to leave, and Sean had already put her as F4. so the producers didn't want to bother with hometown date but to have the whole thing with the boyfriend play out for the dramatic value. I'd be surprised if she didn't leave by mutual decision with Sean, before the RC. Another First!

I wonder if she did the show in an attempt to move on from her BF. Perhaps I'm reading the situation all wrong, but from what we discovered about Desiree to this point, nothing indicates to me a girl seeking a life in the spotlight. Soooo...I'm kind of confused by this twist in her storyline. As to her leaving before the RC, I'm leaning in that direction too.

You could be right..RS did say that this season that 5 leave before a RC (Katie, Sarah, Tierra, - leave on their own). Jackie and Leslie are eliminated on dates but I don't know if those 2 count in his 5 however.

Well she seems a lot like Melissa Rycroft, who went on the show just to do something fun for herself and also to rub it in her boyfriends face like "haha" to make him jealous

Desiree didn't have a boyfriend! From RS:

The biggest “jaw dropper” in that promo is the clip of Desiree answering the door at home, a guy comes in telling her that he loves her, her saying she doesn’t know what to do, and the guy and Sean kinda getting into it. Leading into that clip, you hear voiceovers of girls talking about “She said that there were other men,” and, “She has a boyfriend.” I can tell you now that the clip of Desiree is a complete mislead. That’s actually Desiree playing a prank on Sean (after he played one on her in their first date at the art gallery), and it’s just a friend of hers she asked to pretend he was an ex-bf and barge in to her hometown date. So no, Desiree does not have a boyfriend back home and that was all an act. Although, kinda sucks for her since she thought she was being funny and all, yet Sean sends her home after the hometown dates. Guess that kinda backfired. But of course once the promo aired, every news outlet wants to overreact and freak out and immediately think, “Ooooooohhhhhh, looks like someone has a boyfriend who comes and confronts Sean! What happened?!” Wrong.

I forgot that Sean played a joke on Emily during his HTD last season. He said he still lived with his parents which wasn't true.

IMO Sean wasn't into Desiree enough to not send her home after her hometown date. I doubt it had much to do with the prank she pulled.
