The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

Apparently, everywhere Arie Sr. goes these days, he gets asked about his famous son, Bachelorette heartthrob Arie Luyendyk, Jr. And — with rumors swirling that Arie Jr. (should we call him AJ like in The Sopranos?) is in the running to be the next Bachelor, you can bet that’s the question his dad gets the most.

According to our tipster, Arie Sr. was overheard talking about Arie Jr.’s possible return to ABC at last weekend’s event. “I heard him say Arie is definitely interested in being the next Bachelor,” our tipster says. “He said if they ask him, he’d be thrilled.”

“People were joking around with his dad, asking if Arie’s really done sewing his wild oats and his dad said absolutely, those days are over. His dad said doing The Bachelorette really changed him, which I thought was so adorable,” the tipster continues. “Apparently, Arie wants to meet the right girl and settle down. His dad said he was ready.”

Thank you! From reading some of the comments here, one would think that there was actual inside info or access. No one here knows what Arie wanted or didn't want. To even pretend to speak for him is a kind of hubris that is quite unfortunate.

I don't know why it's necessary for anyone to try to put Arie down or invent scenarios or theories. There was an article posted that stated what happened.

It is true that Arie is still under contract and has an obligation. So the idea that he is jumping up and down to film a segment for Sean's season, doesn't make much sense to me.

Regarding the bolded, I can say the exact same thing about all the people who THINK that Arie was offered the role and that he turned them down, no one knows that, so to state that as a fact is quite unfortunate too!!

Nowhere in those articles is written that they offered him the role, only that he took himself out of the running, that's it!
So until someone says specifically that they offered Arie the role first, we will never know what happened!!
