The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

Catching up after vacation and see Arie is out of the running. Am I the only one that thinks Sean would make a decent Bachelor? I started to look through some posts, then waded into a fight about Jeremy so I stopped looking, but seems the general consensus is that Sean is boring. I think he might be interesting to watch. He's well spoken, he runs around streets bellowing, and he's not bad to look at. And I bet because he's positioned himself as the all-American religious good boy they will edit him to be a total man-whore. Not that I'm looking forward to him being edited as such, but I'm guessing it will be entertaining.

Im so sick and tired of people hating on Sean...He's a good guy and who is to say he's "vanilla" All of us have only seen a edited version of him. He's not "robotic"(your opinion is your opinion but we'l l agree to disagree. Sean of all people would BRING what this show lacks and thats class. My two cents carry on and share your opinions..that's mine.

I actually don't think we know Sean yet. He was given a very specific edit on Emily's season, but there is probably a lot more to him than what we saw. It makes it hard for me to defend him when people say they think he is boring because my honest answer is, "I have no idea." He seems to have been well liked among the guys and jokes around easily on twitter so I'm sure that if TPTB chose to cast him, he'll make an interesting enough season.

I do think some people are worried that his faith will mean he'll act very conservatively on his dates, but that whole equation is a "can't win no matter what you do." If a guy is romantic with all the women, he's a jerk. If he isn't, he's boring. No matter what he'll be navigating a difficult situation and who knows until it happens how it will play out.

If I'm reading Sean's twitter feed correctly, it sounds like he still plans on being at the Lemonade Stand. So either he's going have to cancel that appearance, or he's not the next bachelor. I'm so confused.

I wish, but they just went there for Ben's season. That locale and baseball date at Roberto Clemente Stadium (his idol; he's worn the number "21" in honor of Clemente) would have been absolutely perfect for him, if it's him. But alas, they're going next door to the Virgin Islands.

I thought Emily would be conservative because of her beliefs and what she said, and look how that turned out. She didn't meet a wall in Europe that she didn't want to make out against.

^^^So agree, DW. I wonder how Sean will balance his faith with his responsibilities to the show if he is The Bachelor. A big chunk of his fans probably have high expectations in that regard. From what I hear he's pretty comfortable in his own skin and firm in his beliefs and values.

Sean seems to have managed the throngs of gals and offers from those who have pursued him since being off the show just fine. Still, given that he's said that he doesn't mind a woman showing interest yet doesn't really like to be chased, I wonder how things might play out for the "script".

Also, for some reason, I thought Roberto is also somewhat religious as well..is that right? He's a lovely man and seems so positive as well.

i am NOT hating Seanie. in fact, i LOVE him,but to be match with my all-time fav Kacie B in the real world .thats why i dont want him to be TB.
i prefer Roberto bc he is just my tipe

Same, Roberto just happens to be my type, but I fully understand how editing works. From Sean's tweets, it's pretty obvious that he is very funny and witty - it's probably just understated or wasn't edited in.

I didn't watch Ali's season but I always hear remarks like "I hope it's Roberto if we get to see Ali's reaction." Is Ali generally disliked?
