Jeremy is still single and always ready to mingle. I know he had a serious GF for a good while but not sure if she is the mother..could be a one night stand..and he wasn't shooting blanks

He could also have adopted a child or be a foster dad as well.

Question: Are we basing a September 20th start date based on Ben's filming schedule? Or have TPTB come out and said thats when they will start filming?

I only ask because I *think* that the DWTS premiere is September 24th (correct me if I'm wrong), and if they use that to announce the Bachelor, and start filming after, then whoever is the Bachelor would be free until then.

I just tweeted him and asked if adopted or biological.

JMO but starting it much later runs into the holidays and usually they try to wrap prior to Thanksgiving.

Based on these numbers Sean probably really is the next bachelor.

And if Arie did decide against doing the show and pull himself out of contention, perhaps it was because, after what recently happened with Jem in the tabloids, he started thinking about how he might get skewered as the lead, IF there really are some "skeletons in his closet" regarding his lovelife that would get dug up? If so (and only he knows for sure what's "out there"), can't say I blame him.

I think Arie knows that the tabloids and Reality Steve (who despises him) did whatever they already could to him.

Arie is getting into LeMans racing and has a race in October in Atlanta - the Petit Lemans. He's driving with Townsend Bell's team. Even if he could get the race day off - he cant do that and be the Bachelor. The leads on the show have an exhausting time of it. Arie's going to have to prepare properly for the race . He has a kind of dangerous job!! He cant just show up and sort of call it in.
I think he wanted to be the Bachelor, but he realized that he cant do it all. Few of us can. He had to make a choice.
He chose career over more Fleiss and Co. manipulations. Good for him. His career is really taking off! I look for more good news really soon. I wish him the best of luck. He's a great and gracious guy. He deserves every good thing.

If someone inquired wether my child was adopted or biological i would NOT consider it a rude question at all.
I don't consider adoption as something to be ashamed of, or to hide at all. We are blessed with children in many ways... Just my opinion. Carry on

ETA: my original thought for posting before getting sidetracked; I am actually looking forward to seeing Sean surprize me- if he is selected. I was not a fan of Em as Bachelorette, and WOW did she ever change my mind!

Good for him and sad for us! Arie is the real thing ... a total class act.

I don't think twitter followers is neccesarily a good indicator of ratings. Last season has people with some of the highest twitter followings, but the ratings for the season were some of the lowest in franchise history. Sean may be popular, but coming off a season with declining ratings, I don't know if he's the best choice to revitalize the series. This might be a good time to try someone brand new.
