I don't have a favorite for the next primary, most of the times I end up being disappointed with the Bachelor anyway,...and the men I would love to see as the Bachelor never are so....whoever it is, I'll watch for entertainment ...I prefer the Bachette, women are usually a bit more serious about the process and I love the :Drool: factor

It's that people who know nothing about car racing are talking about it now and that would increase if Arie were the Bachelor similar to Helio being on DWTS. Prior to Arie being on the show I thought it was all just like Nascar. I didn't even know that Indycar had completely different cars. Arie has done big races and if he were the Bachelor there wouldn't be a distinction made about Indycar vs Indy Lights.

I think the IndyCar organization was stunned by the number of fans that Arie was able to draw. They saw that Helio's popularity rose with DWTS, but he was already an active driver so I think they wrote that off as partially IndyCar's doing. However, Arie was off the IndyCar radar and suddenly has visibility higher than Helio, someone who is on the track every week. Now it looks like Arie can use this to find sponsors to race again which I think is perplexing to IndyCar because they have been struggling to promote their drivers and now an inactive driver goes on a show and he's more recognizable than most of their active drivers.

IndyCar would love it if Arie were on The Bachelor. And they don't care if the editors would slice and dice him because they have plenty of drivers. I think they want the publicity but don't want to deal with the fact that one of their most popular drivers isn't driving an IndyCar!

Great news Arie! Too bad Fleissy. Arie is moving on , racing style.

That is indeed great news. I hope that means TB is completely off the table and he's moving full speed ahead (!) with racing.

Isn't IndyCar associated with ABC somehow? Do they air the races? If so I'd think they would want Arie to be the Bach as it would increase their audience for both.

He said he had great news both professionally and personally. Still hoping he's the bachelor. If not, I'm sure he's going to meet a great girl sooner rather than later anyway. Good for Arie. He's a great guy and such a sweetheart for defending his friends Jef and Emily. He knows what it's like to have trashy rumors spread about you. I think he could handle the media fine, I think Sean might have a tougher go at it.

I am curious about what the news is in terms of who he's meeting with today, who he's partnering up with business wise, etc. It seems from his tour and then the fb game last night that it could be muscle milk, but I'm wondering what the professional and personal news that he mentioned after his trip to LA a couple of weeks ago for the fundraiswer was related to. After that event, that tweet, his new twitter bio, etc it screamed TB to me. So, if he's not it, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he was at least led to believe or under the impression that it was going to be him for a time and then all of a sudden it wasn't (his tweet last week about being positive no matter what - paraphrasing). If they REALLY haven't told the person who it's going to be, they are really risking it. Both Sean and Arie seemed to have booked things during filming that while they could get out of, it certainly gives the impression they aren't sitting around waiting for MF to call. Good for them.

Although anyone can back out of plans or events, I think if Arie is really going to be racing soon, he's more than likely not going to give up that chance, with a lot of sponsers, training, executives, money, traveling, etc, for TB. Unless they are going to work his schedule and commitments into his contract, he's a smart guy and worked way to hard to get a ride to throw it away for reality TV. He's not stupid.

It could be that they really do want Arie but he's not been able to commit to it while working out sponsers and rides. Thus, no decision. If they really only wanted Sean, I would think that could have been finalized and signed a long time ago.

Exactly! If the latest news means that Arie has decided to make other plans, good for him. I don't think Sean is dynamic enough to carry the show, which may mean lost viewers and lower ratings, but that's too bad for Fleiss. Arie is better off going in his own direction.
