Great pics. Hope they are working on a kickass freestyle. Am sure Shawn and Derek's will be. Any thoughts on which dance they should repeat? Is it too soon for AT? I really liked their VW especially if their freestyle is fast. Anybody have thoughts on what they should pick. I still am not sure about that third dance. Is it on the spot choreography?

Thank you. I will be voting my fingers off come Monday for our favorite couple. I want them to win this season so much. I don't think I've ever wanted anybody to win so much as I do them. Well, maybe except for them the other time they were in the top three. LOL I will surely miss reading about them once the season is over, so if any of you sees anything please post it coz you know there's those of us that eat up every little bit of info we can get about them. Thanks again for being SO sweet!!!

Ally, I'd have to go back and watch all their dances again to have an opinion about which one they should do again. : )

Been wondering about that repeat dance. Out of all of their dances this season, I've loved their Viennese Waltz & Argentine Tango the most. Considering both their injuries, I wouldn't mind them doing the VW again. Easier on their bodies. Not that I expect them to be careful. Knowing how they've been all season, they'll give it their all no matter what. The only dance I'm sure they won't repeat is the samba (for obvious reasons). Can't wait for them to dance again!!!

LoveDovez, I'm with ya. I haven't wanted anyone to win it as much as them. I said before the season started that I loved their partnership. Seeing them both in tears after their AT was something. I don't think Tony's ever been this emotional in all his seasons on the show.

I know many people are especially rooting for Tony to finally get rewarded for is efforts, and I couldn't agree more! He and Melissa both deserve to win it! There's just something about these two, both as individuals and as partners that really draws you to them. Fun, exceptional smiles and fabulous sportsmanship! I could go on, but I'll save you the rest of my ramblings.

Melissa Rycroft On Why She & Shawn Johnson Aren’t Dancing Rivals



LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- Melissa Rycroft is heading into the finals of “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” next week, but in typical Melissa fashion, she’s not going into Monday’s competition hoping to finally beat out Shawn Johnson, who captured the Season 8 mirrorball in 2009.

“At this point, we are such good friends that we’re rooting each other on,” Melissa, who came in third during Season 8 (second place was taken by Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke), told Access Hollywood earlier this week. “I just saw Shawn [and I said], ‘I’ll see you in the morning.’

“At this point, when you make it to the finals, you’ve made it as far as you can go,” Melissa added. “You almost feel like the pressure’s off and now’s your time to have fun. Now’s your time to show off. Go and show what you can do that you don’t think anybody else in the competition can do. So, it’s fun.”

Melissa may not have won a mirrorball like her two finals competitors — Kelly Monaco and Shaw --, but she is the only competitor hitting the ballroom with her original partner.

In Season 1, Kelly (currently paired with Valentin Chmerkovskiy) competed with Alec Mazo, while Shawn (this season teamed with Derek Hough) originally hit the dance floor with Mark Ballas.

Melissa and Tony’s closeness has helped them throughout the season, but they have hit a stumbling block recently – the pro is injured.

“I’m on meds right now,” Tony told Access.

“I’ve been pretty heavily sedated,” he laughed, referring to the medication for his back injury. “I’m good…I’m powering through. It’s going to be — for us – it’s a celebration… We don’t have a trophy to lose, we have a trophy to win. So we just want to work as hard as we can and give the audience every reason to [vote for us].”

The “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” finals kick off on Monday at 8/7c on ABC.

If you just want to listen to the Melissa/Tony parts, the Caveman Hustle discussion is at the beginning and the Argentine Tango discussed starting at about the 20:00 mark. If there was any question about how amazing and difficult the lifts they pulled off really were, check out what Henry says about it. (As you all know, he had to learn the choreo of Melissa's two routines in case he was needed as a fill in for Tony. He practiced them with another female pro from the Troupe, Oksana Dmytrenko. Oksana is the person he is talking about in the interview when he says he had an assistant helping him learn the routines.) He says that his assistant (Oksana) could NOT do half the lifts and tricks and intricacies that Melissa was able to do in that dance. In other words, Melissa was doing things a female professional dancer from the show was having trouble with!

He also goes into what Melissa is like in the studio to train with, and what Tony's teaching style is like (and goes into how it differs from Derek's teaching style with Maria last season.. the couple he did the trio with then... and how each style works for their particular partners). It's worth a listen.

I hope they use henry as a pro soon. I really like him. Melissa and Tony have such good attitudes about all this. They are winners no matter what. Shawn and Derek will be tough to beat but I honestly think they can.
