LOL my first thought when I heard they were doing Trio this week was Tristan too. Derek picked Henry last season so that makes me think he's a good choice. lol.

Just read at PureDWTS that the lowest cumulative scorer got to pick their Trio partner first. So Kirstie got Tristan.

I'm not understanding why the lowest scorer gets first pick?

I guess they wanted to even things out?

I'm really excited about Henry now. I just saw that he's the one that choreographed that troupe fusion dance last night, which I thought was great.

Hoping it's Paso, but it could be rumba (which would be weird for a trio) or salsa. I didn't think salsa was an option, but apparently it is. PureDWTS said that they know one of the trios is doing it. I guess I would be fine with that too, she did great with that during her first season. I just hope they'd get a better song this time than Ricky Martin...

Henry is also the one who came up with the idea to do the Bollywood style Samba for Maria last season which I thought was brilliant. So it's looking like they picked a strong choreographer.

Gilles/Peta picking Chelsie is a head scratcher for me. I love Chelsie but she is the one female pro I absolutely cannot picture dancing with Gilles.

That may very well be, but they might (and I think they have) been able to pick up votes along the way this season. I wouldn't count them out just yet, even though a win might not seem plausible. I see them as the dark horse in this race. No drama, no hysterics, just dancing and doing the very best they can.

Elated they did so great last night! Threw all my votes to them (as per usual). Don't like double eliminations... fingers crossed they'll make it through.

What I noticed in their rehearsal package is the how the genuine friendship between them came through. Tony being patient and calm when Melissa got frustrated with herself, and her glances in his direction while he was skyping or whatever with his family. She really cares about him and wants to do her utmost to give him a trophy, and it shows. He knows that and his appreciation is apparent (at least to this viewer).
