Arie called Jef and 1F told him he was happy with Emily; that helped Arie to move on.

seems like she is not good at giving closure to guys. She did not want to mention Jef and her to Arie when they talked on the phone when he flew to Charlotte. Since she was the person who "encouraged Arie to keep the journal", I think her reading it would only have been self-serving.

He actually seems to me to be giving sidelong angry glances to Emily. I guess he has every right to be angry at how he was left. He is behaving very well IMO

If that would have threatened what she had with Jeff, then what she has with him isnt all that much.

she didn't read it because she was over him. at the end of the day, if she cared enough, she would have read it.

Now that Arie see's the big picture I am sure he is glad she didn't read it. It wouldn't have made a difference.
