Arie may have accidentally let it slip to ETonline last week that his current status is "fiance." Jef became "really good friends" with the race car driver during filming, but doesn't know if there's a wedding on the horizon. "I don't know if he's engaged or not. If he is, that's awesome. I'm pretty confident he'll invite me to the wedding."

That could get complicated if Arie ties the knot with Emily. "I know for a fact it wouldn't be awkward between Arie and me, but I would wonder if it would be okay with Emily," he worried. "We had something different than what she had with any of the other guys. I would want to be there because I love and care for Emily and Arie."

I know everyone here was spoiled as to Jef being the f1, but in that interview he may as well have said "Yep it's me that Emily picks"...now I just have to wonder why it's ok for it to be stated so blatantly who won when there is so much of the show left to air.

And he's kinda arrogant about it in a funny/cute way IMO. LOL. Like "FYI peeps, yep, she chased me out of all the guys and we have amazing chemistry, thanks for playing!"

Well, he did stop short of offering parting gifts. But ya, really, really, really, really, "confident".

Jef Holm: I know for a fact that it's 100% percent our chemistry together -- that's why she's attracted to me. And we have never had one time, never one time on the show actually at all period, ever talked about financial things or money or anything like that.

Just read it. He can't keep it to himself at all. So many little 'tells' throughout. The looks only they had for each other, the best kiss he ever had, and Em said in her blog, it was a perfect kiss.
And I cannot wait for this:

Let's be blunt. Those types of internet sites cannot really "know" anyone's net worth. They are guessing from whatever limited information they have been able to find. Public companies publish financial statements, but non-public ones pretty much never do, and you can't just call up the IRS and get a copy of their tax returns.

I believe that both Emily and Jef have "enough," and it would be evident in their conversations, but places like that website give me the creeps.

Should calm some of the naysayers

I don't think I've seen anyone being a naysayer, maybe I don't pay enough attention since I have no horse in this race. The impression I got, I think from a Jef person (Shoepie maybe?) was that Emily wouldn't go for a guy of significantly less wealth than her own. I'm assuming she will want to continue to be a stay at home mom. Have to agree with dw_a_mom, those sites are guesstimates (though I'm sure in the ballpark) and pretty creepy.

I think most people are drawn to people in income or wealth brackets similar to their own (except those eager to move up quickly). There is a lot of shared experience connected to financial status, unfortunately, and it can really glare out at you when you are dating someone with a background too different from yours, and that works just as strongly with someone with tons more money than someone with substantially less. The filter is usually pretty subconscious, I don't think people run around realizing that the money is the divider, but it does seem to be there. The schools you went to, the trips you've made, the food you like to eat, how you shop, etc.

But, yeah, my real point is that I find it totally creepy such a website even exists and, no, being in the financial industry, I don't trust it at all.

And we all thought Arie said he was engaged to Emily until we saw the actual transcript. It could be that he was kidding (like Arie), though it really doesn't mean a hill of beans if he did have a strategy because they ALL do!

It really doesn't matter because people are going to see what they want to see in all of the guy's interviews. I have never doubted Love_me's Jef is f1 spoiler....I just doubt there will be a happily ever after to it. I think the best thing to come out of this show is Jerie...I could watch a whole season from their perspective and leave anything about Emily's stuff completely out of it!

Could you tell that Emily was upset about something in general around the same time she ended up finding out about Arie's past? Did you know something was bothering her even though you weren't sure what it was exactly?

Jef Holm: No, when I hung out with Emily, every time, it was just about us. We never really got into anything about the other guys and I actually tried to once in awhile, just because like I know it's a weird situation with her and for her.

And so I would just want to talk to her about all the other guys. I'm not like -- I mean, obviously Arie and I talked a little bit about stuff every night -- I'm not like a jealous guy and I don't think Arie is either.

And so, I wanted to know stories about the other guys and how the relationships were and stuff like that and her to open up about it, but when we hung out for the most part, it was just that we focused on us and we focused on developing a relationship between the two of us, and it turned into a pretty cool thing.

I find Jef's comments about the Arie/Cassie situation fascinating and enlightening. I know CH and Cassie have tried to downplay the situation, but Jef's comments make me question that a little bit.

Jef's interview corroborates that Arie came home wondering the reason that Emily kept interrogating him about something of which he had no clue. In my world, if Emily knew about Cassie and kept pestering Arie about it without directly asking him about that relationship, then Cassie/Arie was part of the issue in Emily trusting Arie. If Arie was assured "Emily knows about Cassie and is cool with it" and therefore doesn't tell her, and Emily actually doesn't know until Prague and is told to coerce it out of Arie--or, even worse, decides to manipulate him into telling him without directly confronting him about her knowledge--then it's this massive miscommunication and a stomping ground of mistrust for both of them. Emily then begins lying to Arie if she pretends like everything is ok but pulls away from him or starts acting when the Cassie thing is eating her up. If this situation isn't openly discussed and drives her away from Arie, that's disgusting on the part of the show.

RS is correct here that Emily was angry. It wasn't a non-issue. What else happens this season then?

I don't know if Em feeling like an idiot made her angry or not, but in my world it sure would have made me pretty mad, as it would many other I know of and she didn't look like she was at a birthday party while talking in that PI and with Cassie.. What I can't understand is people has said that MF and Co told Arie they'd take care of telling Em about the C/A deal...Which we have yet to see any proof of...OK so Arie thinks Em knows about it.... Why does he not take the time to ask her how she felt about it and if that is why she feels like he's hiding something from her?

If he and Jef were as close as they both say they were, why did Arie never bring this up to Jef while talking about Em feeling as tho Arie was hiding something from her to see what Jef thought about it?

That makes Arie look really bad IMO and I'm only talking about this instance. Nobody could have jailed him or anything like that if he had indeed thrown caution to the wind and said I'm telling this girl that I'm falling in love with about a secret that may hurt/bother her or come back to bite me in the a** Why did he not stop and think, heck I know how women are and she may not like being around Cassie 24/7 if she isn't comfortable with the fact we dated a few times 10 years ago. Here is where I think honesty is first and foremost the best thing possible and I don't have one thing against Arie. I think Em had 3 wonderful guys to choose from. It's just sad that Arie didn't spend a little more talking and a little less time kissing. He may have been the F1 if he had. I love to kiss, but if a man can't get a sentence of two in there in between those kisses I would really get bored after a while, but then that's me.. :Frown:

Veg-Out, I also found the bolded part of the above interview interesting. Jef wanted to talk to Emily about all the other guys, to know stories about them and how their relationships were progressing. Then he and Arie were also discussing their dates with Emily as well. Very interesting indeed.

Veg, in the preview, Em did not look angry to me. I think the issue was Arie not coming clean or sharing that with her; maybe he just felt that it was nothing important (very short relationship a long time ago). I think we should watch it play out.
Btw, RS claimed Em flew off the handle because she was so angry. I don't see anything of sorts, but we'll see next week.

So you don't think Em was just a tad bit angry when she said she felt like an idiot or have you not watched those previews?
