I thought he drove to SC to see his parents and was spotted in NC because he had to drive through there. I don't remember it being in the airport but I could be wrong. But I thought he did that trip after memorial weekend. Didnt San confirm that the weekend of the 30th was a safe house weekend so the article coincides with that no? Wasnt Arie ant Indy and Sean at a wedding that weekend anyway?

The weekend where the other guys were accounted for was Memorial Day Weekend.

It is not shocking that Emily wants an exquisite ring.

Lots of people make great money. I commend him for at least doing his part....it is more than a lot of people do.

There is literally no indication that Jef "gives money". He works for a company he helped to found thatin an abstract sense raises money in the sense that some corporate revenues are diverted to digging wells. Corporate revenues are plowed back into growing a start up, not distributed to owners. Founders/Owners get stock, stock options, and some salary. I have no clue what any People Water individuals do with their income, nor does anyone here. Growing a start up beverage company, particularly in the bottled water space, is very very difficult. I doubt they have ANY profit that isn't plowed back into the highly intensive capital undertaking of launching a distribution network. Launching a new national brand is very very expensive, requiring many rounds of financing. Jef isn't getting rich off PW at this stage. He is a founder in a start up that they all hope "pops" in a material way in an over crowded market place.

Is it a gimmick to price your water product so that you can use the expensive biodegradableplastics, and shift portion of proceeds to well building? Not necessarily. But as some have pointed out in this very thread right now, it is ultimately a business plan.

If you want to see something WICKED cool in the Do-Good beverage space, check out Not For Sale (anti trafficking group)upcoming launch of REBBL tea. One of the coolest things I've ever been privy too.

And very difficult to get placement on the retail shelves, having represented several national retails.

What made you think that? I know other people said it too, I don't know why though.

Intimate makes me think that as well as it being shot in the middle of the night. It kind of made feel like it wasn't a planned "set up'" rose ceremony. More like there was only one guy left standing so he was able to be spontaneous about how he proposed. Who know but the setting sounds romantic!

I agree with your points. Definitely going to check out the Not For Sale tea.

I know nothing about Jef's company, including the stage of their funding rounds. Was just pointing out their model, which, I think, is similar to Tom's Shoes:

May 31 was not Memorial Day weekend, it was the start of the weekend after, and we know Jef went (flew I assume) through Charlotte to SC to visit his parents. So he's definitely the guy in the airport alluded to (on a radio interview, Emily was also asked about Jef being seen in a Charlotte airport).

Regarding the ring, NL comps it for the free advertising. If people are suggesting that Jef/Emily should have refused the ring and asked NL to donate the value of it to charity instead, I'd be very surprised if he, or ABC, would have gone along. The show is supposed to be a fantasy, and not make people think about and resent the amount of conspicuous consumption happening in order to "find love". Their best scenario would be for Jef to buy Emily a ring himself with his own money, and then after 2 years together once they finally own the NL one (if it happens), they can sell the ring and donate the money to charity. Would that satisfy everyone? Hugesmile

They had no choice with that location but to have it late at night.
It is located in a VERY busy sector of town and surrounded by one-way streets.
They would have had no privacy and limited access if it was at any other time of the day at that location.
BTW, I love the location!!!
It is an amazing and unique hotel.
It should be gorgeous!!!

Did we have pics and tweets from him for that parents visit? . Didn't he say something like long drive when he arrived and on the way home tweeted the tank top, peace sign pic on a highway?
