Emily's ring, I have now verified on the internet by going to website of the groups that People Water gives its money to, would build FOUR WELLS.

It would also pay for at least one house built by habitat for humanity. Or fund an entire team of doctors to Africa. What's your point?

Just have to chime in here to say that, yes, Emily's ring might be incredibly expensive but Jef's business is a for profit one, running on similar principles as many other new buy-give back initiatives like Tom's shoes. Sure, it is great that money is going to building wells in Africa but let us not forget that he makes quite a bit of money off of this at the same time. Just finding the ring, well comparisons odd.

It is not shocking that Emily wants an exquisite ring.

Probably because the article (or at least the summary of the article) only mentioned the proposal. IIRC, these articles usually have details about the F2 rejection. I think that was how we learned last season that Lindzi made Ben re-do his rejection of her. It's certainly possible that there's more to the story, and it's just not discussed in this article, of course.

The ring is donated for publicity for jeweler, who will get a national tv ad for the wholesale price of his product.

Jef is donating money to charity, not all of his money, some of it, which is very nice. I don't think it's my place to say how much he should give or what kind of lifestyle he is entitled to since he makes charitable donations.

He should be applauded.

Lots of people make great money. I commend him for at least doing his part....it is more than a lot of people do.

Oh sure. Not arguing that. Just find it funny that people are comparing Em's ring value to building wells in Africa.

When the info about Roberto and Ali's FRC came out in that magazine, the F2 departure was not mentioned then too right?

Does Emily keep the ring after the FRC? I assumed ABC kept it until AFRC. Seems like several in the past were shown getting the ring back and putting it on their finger?
