Oh dear God Rich, thanks for being an enlightened man. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I read her post.

The more I thought about this the angrier I have become. This is demeaning to every MAN who has stood by a woman's side when she was not at her best, due to illness, injury, or just the exhaustion and frustration that can come from daily life. I hope Emily chooses a partner in life, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, not someone looking for a trophy to make himself feel better with his friends.

This is the first time I have been “spoiled” to this extent. After reading all the posts, reviewing many interviews with past contestants etc, I am SO disappointed at how naïve I have been!! I was surprised to what extent this show is “edited” which is not only misleading but can be seriously damaging to the contestants and sometimes even the leads. The contestants are bound by legal documents & cannot even comment via FB or Twitter to explain or defend certain actions and/or misleading “edits”. This was one of my favorite shows for years (just a sucker for love stories), however now that I have heard, read & observed how easily I have allowed others to lead me astray with edits so far-fetched they don’t even resemble the truth, I will probably not watch it in the future!!! My comments are posted here because Ryan has been my favorite from the start. This could be posted in other threads as well because a couple of my friends personally know some of the other contestants and report the edits portray them in a light that is the total opposite of how they are in real life.

With the edit they are giving him I think that he screwed himself in airing his want for the role while still filming Em's season. That could have really swayed producers in the other direction if they got the impression that he was using them to get to the lead role. Especially knowing that MF hates to be made for a fool. I think Ryan's edit and backing out was because he shot himself in the foot before realizing that there wasn't a hospital around for miles. imo obviously! kisses

I feel for you Cher, would be nice if they'd give a cleaner edit...but they don't, so who knows what's real and what's not.

As to him not being on the Bachelor Pad, who says he wanted that in the first place...RS did and no one else, then he retracted so we can't really say if Ryan was supposed to be on there or not.

I am kinda bummed that Ryguy has opted out of BP (If he ever agreed to it in the 1st place, good point made by PP) I was hoping he could come in and show the real Ryan but the thing about BP IMO is it is not classy at all. Not saying Bachelor is much better but the house is people planning & voting against each other which brews trouble from day 1. I hope in my heart that he and Kacie B have gotten in contact with each other. She has been defending him lately and was obviously hoping he was not the F1 (her words not mine) so maybe they are taking their friendship off camera. I said from the 1st episode he would be a great match for her not only b/c they are both "southern cuties" who would have beautiful babies but both rely heavily on faith not to mention having gone through this science experience of MF's they understand how it and the edits work. JMO of course, one can only hope!!!

The football star and the hot majorette! Love it! They both seem to be such nice, sincere people plus having shared values. High clap

That would be a fun romance to follow!

Ryan fans be prepared, Natalie just got done watching this Mondays episode and she tweeted "WOW. Just finished watching this Mon's epi of #Bachelorette. Ryan is just awful. Hint: 1 of his comments "I need to evaluate Emily, because she may not be worthy of me." no no

I thought I saw that in the video clip of just Ryan and it was every bit as bad as it sounds. Also not impressive was him talking about being TB while still on the Bachelorette. I'm not and have never been a Ryan fan and from what I've seen I wouldn't like to see sweet Kacie with him. Even if editing is making him worse than he is, I still get a vibe that he's a bit on the controlling side based on some of his actions with Emily.
