One more thing I have been trying to put together is some screencaps of when they show Ryan and him saying he saw Arie and Emily kiss. Was that edited to appear that way? Ryan is standing by the front of the house and where were Arie and Emily? Did he really see them kiss or did TPTB feed him that line? Did Micheal really see them kiss through the window? scratch

LOL. I don't think Michael saw them kissing. He was looking through a glass window into the courtyard/pool (some place outdoors) or something. Doesn't look like where Arie and Emily were. Who knows about Ryan. It looked like he was standing by the front of the house....

Maybe Ryan already knew he wasn't going to be F1 and was told he wasn't going to be considered as the next bachelor; so he's just playing a part now.

It looks like he starts to get cocky next week and make people mad.
Harrison: He starts to get a little arrogant and it gets the better of him. What really does it is that innocent little kiss with Arie and Emily at the end last night's episode — it sends ripple effect through the house. She was in a bad mood with the whole Alessandro thing and then ran into Arie and they happened to have this moment, but unbeknownst to them, the guys could see from the other room.

Next week, the group heads to Bermuda. What can you preview?
Harrison: These relationships are definitely taking off and the guys know Arie and her have something special, which ratchets up the competitiveness. That regatta on the group date gets rough. Those guys fight for their lives to get some time with her.

I watched the sneak peek and I don't see how Emily can hold his comments against him. If anyone understands milking the media attention for all it's worth, it's Emily Maynard.

It's obvious a producer asked him leading questions about being the Bachelor and he was responding to that. And it's probably clear to the guys at this point who Emily's favorites are. If he recognizes he's not one of them, or that he's not going to be the final one, I don't think there's anything wrong with acknowledging that he'd pursue other opportunities that may arise from the show after he returns home and that he would want to be the Bachelor.

I just think it's funny when the bit/road players say or do something it's so major but when the role players does the same things-especially when it comes to men, it is over looked or brushed aside....

Oh, I definitely think the editing is turning Ryan into a villain. In one of the previews, they are even using "evil" music like they did with Michelle Money. Produced and edited tv show is what we are watching. I honestly believe if Ryan was that big of a jerk, people would be coming out of the woodwork to say something about him.

I still don't think he was being 100% serious. Yes, he kept talking, but he seemed to be trying to find something to say to what she asked. Was it the "right" thing? Obv, no according to Em and her friends, but, again I don't think he meant it. I think he was making light of the question.

Being someone who often puts their foot in their mouth, I can relate!

I saw some of the preview stuff for next week, its not the best, but I'm not gonna crucify the guy over what he says on a highly edited show.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I find Ryan to be highly entertaining. Watching him dig his own grave makes me laugh. Honestly, I'm sure he is a decent guy, but placing an intensely competitive guy in this setting is only going to bring out the worst in him. Also, Emily doesn't seem too emotionally invested in Ryan and sees the red flags, unlike Ben with Courtney, so I'm not as critical of his behavior. Regarding, Michelle Money- Everyone hated on her when she was on Brad's season, but I thought she was hilarious (in a twisted reality TV way).

Michelle Money cracked me up! I don't think she turned out to be quite the villain they made her out to be. Maybe Ryan will redeem himself during BP. Well, actually, come to think of it, he'll probably come off a bigger jerk there.

ITA Ryan has been given the role of the macho jerk on the storyboard, unfortunately he gave them enough that they can frankenbite him to fit the role he has been given. I'd like to think most of these "characters" that entertain us are quite different in real life. I see why he won't last til f4, hope they don't

This show thrives on drama...they are going to create, instigate and encourage where ever possible....just keep this in mind as any and all flaws are going to be amplified. Really Kalon and Ryan are their only tools to utilize. Who's idea do you think it was to use the helicopter at the M&G...and that soured the guys to Kalon from the get go!
