I said that I'd use those emotes if Ry-guy didn't end up F1. In truth, if it wasn't going to work out for them, I'm really glad that Emily sent him home early. Maybe he was ok with going home when he did, especially if they were struggling to connect and/or he didn't like the experience. I really, really, really can't wait to see him on screen, though sadly, I'm not sure that he'll get a ton of camera time since he leaves earlier than the F4. Maybe if they want him as the next lead, we'll see more of him!!!!

I'm going to go find a comfort food recipe for my sweetheart! He's still totally and completely dreamy to me.

I think Ryan may be too small town for Emily. And I am not saying that in a negative way at all! Maybe she is like Ben and needs someone more "worldy".

I know very little about Chris, Sean and Jef; is there anything in their backgrounds that indicates how worldly they are? I have a feeling that she fell for Arie (and the lifestyle that he represented, which I suspect makes all the other guys' lifestyles pale in comparison) right away, and she ended up just going through the motions with most of the other guys. Maybe Ryan was not only too small town, but too "serious" about actually falling in love and finding a wife, and she chose to keep the slightly less serious guys because they would be less hurt about being "led on".

Still think that the producers had big plans/expectations for Ryan, but Emily insisted on sending him home sooner than they wanted her to for some reason. Hate to compare him with Fake Jake, but there are some similarities with how that played out. I'm also disappointed because I'm not even sure she kept him around long enough to be under consideration for the next lead.

William had the first 1-1 date with Ashley - THe "wedding" date.

I think he was slated for the F4 before he screwed it all up, though. Given the fairly strong correlation between the first 1-on-1 and F4 status, I'm wondering if something unforeseen also happened with Ryan.

Even though I'm not invested in any of these guys yet, I was very surprised to learn that Ryan's not in the F4.

I know a lot of people like Ryan, but in my opinion Sean and Ryan have the same type of background. They both played college football and are Christian. I can see that people thought Ryan was a front runner based on his first date, but I can definitely see how Emily might have liked Sean a little more. Also we know that she kissed Chris on her first date with him so that automatically signaled she liked him, imo. I don't know how worldy any of these guys are, but I don't think it's fair to assume that Ryan was serious about finding a wife, and if Emily chooses Arie than she is not serious about finding a husband!

The difference for me between Sean and Ryan, at least from the info that we have, is that Ryan appears to be more established in his career than Sean as well as being a few years older. Maybe that's not the case, but I'm entitled to my impression. And you misinterpreted what I said about Ryan being serious about finding a wife meaning that Emily wasn't serious about finding a husband. Just that if he's serious, and she's not serious about HIM (ie is more interested in a different guy), then it's kinder of her to not lead him on and keep around a guy who is less serious to be the also ran.

I just can't believe Ryan has been home for a week now and no has even spotted him! Doesn't he train people and run his own business?
