I imagine that while she may like Constantine and Ames and enjoy spending time with them, Ashley is not physically attracted to either one, and both guys were polite enough to not try to kiss her, so nothing happened. Ali said in an interview on Fox that generally, most of the guys try to kiss the Bachelorette, and it is hard to reject them without embarrassing them, so sometimes it's easier to just go along and kiss them, even the ones you would rather not. If Ashley isn't really connecting with anyone but JP and Ben F (and Bentley duh

), I have a feeling that Constantine's and Ames' lack of physical aggressiveness with her might have been part of the reason she kept them in her F4.

I was surprised she didn't kiss Constantine or Ames. For goodness sakes, there's a screencap that shows she's kissed Nick and they haven't had any significant time together!

Wasn't there a SC of her kissing Dino on that date? I thought I saw it (but obviously not on the episode itself !)

I can't remember any F3 or F4 not getting kissed on a 1:1 date. I think that's especially significant this season, because Ashley is kissing anything that moves.

Nothing even close to a kiss for Ames.

At one point Connie started to make a move toward her (about an inch, lol) and she started talking about something, so he stopped. I think that's the closest he came.

I'm amazed Constantine gets another 1 on 1. I saw nothing to believe she is into him or he's into her at all, and just total friends vibe. I wonder if that will change. Or she felt bad he got such a bad 1 on 1 and wanted to be sure he got a good date?

I too saw nothing - at all. And I saw so distracted by both him (and even Ames for that matter ) taking a slight glance at the rose on that table and then starting his next little speech to get that rose. It felt a bit unnatural to me.

The only thing that makes sense to me is that after Bentley, the only 2 that Ashley got "the feeling" with at all were JP and Ben. Both Constantine and Ames were very gentlemanly towards her and neither tried that hard to kiss her on their first dates, which was appealing to her, so she decided to keep them around to round out her F4, knowing she would probably not need to be fending them off as much as she would some of the other men.

I guess when we see how physical (or not) she gets with either Ames or Constantine on subsequent dates, I'll find out if my theory is correct or not, but for now, I'm sticking to it.

Thing is we have hot and heavy SCs of her making out with Lucas in the next episode. And then immediately after that Lucas is gone too ?

RS did say the circumstances regarding Dino's departure were a little different. He hinted that it might have been a mutual decision.

Well, maybe Lucas initiated that (and sometimes they put kisses "on loop" so they look like more than they are), and I can imagine that Ashley is insecure enough to not know how to refuse a guy who wants to kiss her. Again, Ali defended Ashley today by mentioning that it is normal for all the guys to try to kiss the Bachelorette when they get the chance, whether they are into her or not; guess guys are just competitive in that way, and it's sometimes easier for her to just go along than try to refuse in a kind way that won't embarrass them. JMO.

Alexxx, I saw this too. As posted above, sometimes it's easier to just allow a kiss than to appear awkward or embarrass someone on TV. I think that Ashley saw that the kiss could easily be deflected so, she did. Absolutely, there is no love connection with these two but, Ashley has to take someone to F3 and 4. She can't very well act like she is repulsed by them!
