Did he give any hints when he might make this announcement?

Isn't the announcement sometimes made during one of the early episodes of DWTS?

Yesterday he said the announcement was a few days away. I'd be shocked to see him announce it during the Olympic press coverage. However, the Bachelor Pad ratings were so low he might use an announcement gimmick to get some kind of a lift for BP.

I thought they would announce it during the BP3 Finale. I can't remember when that is though.

The Bachelor is usually aired 1st of January; so they would not start filming till mid-Sept/Oct.

The M & G last season was filmed on 9/20.
