I think Jef is human and seeing Emily's kisses with anyone be it Chris, Sean or Arie has to bother him yet he is F1 so that should speak volumes...Not too sound mean..just using an old saying..you gotta kiss a few frogs before you find your prince :Smiley:

I agree. I am looking for a Bachelor 17 discussion too. I would love to see John Wolf as the next bach. It won't happen but I really like that guy. He is witty and articulate, two traits that would work well.

John Wolf would be a great Bach for the very reasons you note, Shoepie. Unfortunately, when bringing in leads, TPTB don't seem to reach back beyond the F3 anymore. Too bad! I still like Mickey (?) from Ashley's season.

Getting back on track of what this thread is supposed to be about, has anyone else seen the news today that Roberto has turned down the Bachelor offer because he has a new girlfriend?

Exactly, which is why I'm not saying I think it's true. You'd think that Roberto would tweet that he's not going to be the next Bachelor if he knew 100% sure he wasn't going to be. Remember back when the Tim Tebow rumors were flying- I forget who it was, but someone from the show (Harrison or Fleiss, likely) had tweeted out that it was not true. I think Tebow may have even tweeted something to that effect too.

Roberto is a businessman, and probably keeping his options open despite being disinclined to do the show.

I like him, but I don't want him as Bach. I also don't want Arie as Bach. Or Sean.

I do understand why TPTB recycle, but with the ratings in a slump, they need to retool, starting with the casting, then moving onto the stilted ITMs. What they're doing isn't working anymore.

It's probably someone that Roberto dated casually sometime in the last 8 months - I doubt it's someone he's turning down the Bach for.

My guess is Roberto is probably not allowed at this point to come out and say he's turned it down. I remember an interview with Chris L back when he was being pursued, and he said he'd made a decision that was the right one for him, but didn't say what it was at that time. We later found out that he'd turned it down. Maybe when a candidate is in the formal talks/negotiating stage, they can't publicly state their decision one way or the other until the Bachelor is actually announced or finalized. Tim Tebow I don't think was ever in formal talks so he could come out and say it wasn't true.

This new girlfriend speaking out could be Roberto's way of letting fans know he's not doing it without him directly saying it. Though I'm not sure why she'd choose Star mag to speak to.

Not sure Roberto would be very happy about her talking to ANY magazine!
