Yes, that could be. I do think the FD's and LCD's happen around that area. I think that once PEI is done, they do the HTD's in Canada before the f3 head to the island.anders wrote:yeah- I saw that - at least now we know where the FRC takes place, and maybe he did have a date on that beach too??

Bachelor Canada: Brad Smith on Chantelle’s virginity and Bianka’s appeal

Wilder Weir, part of the Star’s Bachelor Canada panel and friend of Brad Smith, talked to the Bachelor about the goings-on in Episode 3.

Why are you pursuing Bianka when she is not interested?
She’s obviously attractive, and when we do talk it’s amazing but she’s so standoff-ish that I’m like, “What’s up with this girl?”
Remember, there’s a severe difference between the show and what’s shown on TV.
Why did you keep Nicole around for so long, and not invite her on any dates?
Regardless if I didn’t take her on a date, I’m in the house a lot more than is shown and I did get to know her pretty decently. I tried to stack her team for the lumberjacking but Blue team killed it! You can’t please everyone.
After you had some time to absorb it, how did you feel about Chantelle’s admission?
Great. Sexual history is the last thing that should determine your feelings toward someone. I’m not a hypocrite. She is such a beautiful person inside and out … and she makes others understand that going against the grain while living your life is a great thing as long as you own it!
What made you decide to send home four Bachelorettes instead of two?
The fact is, time is limited. So I wanted to ensure in the following weeks that the dates — group or not — have less girls and more time with the girls who have a connection with me and vice versa. It seems harsh but I’m not here to waste people’s time. The more quality time I get to spend with fewer girls is going to help me spend the time, hopefully, with the one. ...... and I like that the producers let me make my own rules and go against the normal breakdown.

The Bachelor Canada headed to exotic destinations
nicole.feenstra - October 26th, 2012
The Bachelor Canada star Brad Smith definitely gets around… and we’re not talking about the lip locks he finds himself in each week with the bevy of single beauties on the reality dating show.
As in past seasons of the American versions of The Bachelor and The Bachleorette, the show’s star and his or her eligible bachelorettes and bachelors head to a number of exotic, luxury travel destinations throughout the series. Past fantasy date destinations have included Curacao, Tahiti, Switzerland and New Zealand.
Brad’s passport stamps have already begun to rival his American Bachelor counterparts’ just a few episodes into the inaugural season of The Bachelor Canada.
In the first episode, Brad met his 25 eligible ladies in rustic Victoria, B.C., where the girls were pampered at the Westin Bear Mountain Resort. From there, Brad and the ladies were whisked away for dates in New Orleans’ French Quarter and Las Vegas before returning to B.C.
The destinations got increasingly exotic in episode three as Brad and his bachelorettes fly to Riviera Nayarit in Mexico to stay at the uber luxurious Grand Luxxe Resort.
“As we were filming, Brad and the bachelorettes kept commenting on the beauty of the beaches, the great vibe and friendliness of the people and especially, their spectacularly luxurious suites at the Grand Luxxe,” Richard Zarkin, director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, said in a press release. “We were delighted to show the romance of Riviera Nayarit to Canadians and look forward to welcoming many weddings, honeymoons and romantic travellers to our destination.”

In episode four, Brad and the bachelorettes found themselves in Paris, France for a romantic date and carriage ride around the city. They have also visited Osoyoos, B.C., southwestern Alberta and Sooke, B.C. for dates so far this season.
As Brad gets closer to love and the field of eligible bachelorettes begins to dwindle, viewers can expect even more far-flung romance in the world’s most desirable travel destinations. And, if the romance doesn’t last between Brad and his chosen lady, well… they’ll always have Paris.

Bachelor Canada: Brad Smith dishes on the twists and turns in Episode 4

Wilder Weir, part of the Star’s Bachelor Canada panel and friend of Brad Smith, talked to the Bachelor about the twists and turns in Episode 4.

To viewers, it seems like Bianka always calls you out. What is it about this relationship that we are not seeing?
A lot. It’s tough to say specifically. I think she has her own way of getting close to people. And she was skeptical if I was just another reality TV guy trying to make it big and fool everyone.
Was Laura B. your hardest elimination so far? If not, who was it and why?
I can honestly say it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. She’s a beauty, and any guy would be lucky to have her. She just needs to realize that for herself.
How did Chantelle’s unexpected departure affect your decision for the final four? (Read Chantelle’s side of the story.)
Hugely.
It seems like you ride in helicopters a lot of the show. Why?
Because I had never been on one before and probably won’t be able to afford one ever again ... so I took them everywhere.
Why did you choose to open up about the loss of your friends to Whitney?
She was my first emotional response ... and it came naturally. She asked about my tattoo (which is about my friends) … and I opened up.
Are you nervous about meeting the girls’ families?
Terrified. First impressions (are) not really my thing.

Brad's friend, Wilder Weir, has picked who he thinks Brad's Top 5 will be:
He also said that Brad's parents would choose Britany, Gabby & Laura B.
WHO BRAD WILL PICK, ACCORDING TO WILDER
• Kara, 25 (Delta, B.C.): Kara is a stunner and former athlete. Her looks and competitive edge will put her through to the top five.
• Whitney, 24 (Calgary, Alta.): I like this self-proclaimed “outgoing, aggressive, glamorous” girl. Here’s another candidate who lives for competition, saying she “never loses.”
• Melissa Marie, 28 (North Vancouver, B.C.). A Playboy model? Yup, she’s getting through to the top five.
• Bianka, 28 (Mississauga, Ont.): This beauty looks like a Canadian Kim Kardashian, which is totally Brad’s type. Although he might not be able to get past the fact that Kris Humphries actually dated Bianka before leaving her for the real Kim Kardashian . . . true story.
• Ana, 26 (Ottawa, Ont.): She seems like the kind of girl Brad might have dated in the past. She’s a confident, Romanian bartender with a tattoo on her ribs.
He also said that Brad's parents would choose Britany, Gabby & Laura B.

And why doesn't this surprise me? Kids hardly ever do what their parents want them to do! He'll find out soon enough if he made the right choice. :cutesmile!:

Or could mean that it was Bianka as his F1 and they DID have a date in Paris.tigertiz wrote:I think it's just a reference to the Bogart line "We'll always have Paris."

Brad posted this on the Bachelor Canada FB page:
A note from the father of a fallen friend. Peter Ratcliffe! And thank you Peter & Diane for letting me be a part of James life!
Bachelor Canada Week 4 recap from the Bachelor's own perspective. This was the week the past losses in his life surfaced and the sound bite edits of how that affected him can;'t do justice to how that affected and changed Brad.
We've watched so many of James' close friends who were challenged by the untimely loss of a great friend, and the growth and healing they've attributed to their memory of James' life is a lasting legacy of positive growth from the ashes of the worst a parent can be made to suffer in life. Thousands carry scars of June 6, 2005 along with us as a reminder that life is a fragile gift that can be taken suddenly and without rational reason or just cause. We're warmed and comforted by the healing around and within us, and that has in turn helped us better heal and get to a place where we can enjoy life with Jessica, Stuart and Olivia again.
We've shared many tears with Brad over the years we've known him, tears of too much laughter before James died and too much pain after. Only Brad, of James' many friends has knowingly put himself in a place where he would be tasked with such a public place to bare their wounds and to discuss what happened and how it affected them and especially how tough it was to continue and find a good path through life after such untimely loss of two best friends. Brad did a great service to us and to James and handled himself like the caring sensitive man he's grown into. Brad has been in contact, constantly concerned and attentive to our feelings throughout the years since James died, but especially during filming and he's called before every show that might affect us even in a small way. Tender heart in a body of steel.
I'm proud of the man Brad has become. We can become good men by learning from the mistakes of ourselves and of others, and we learn the value of life and especially love by those we have lost along the way. By this measure alone, Brad has been tested and challenged in his life and became better for the pain and the path he followed towards today. That experience in itself makes him older than his years and wiser than most his age. All to say that this makes him a great potential husband for the lucky woman who finds love with Brad.
Brad knows that life can get tough in ways that most young men never will. When the going gets tough in life you ladies can always use a tough man with a tender heart by your side, handsome is just the icing on the beefcake.
Will it be one of the lucky four beauties left?

That is such a lovely, caring and unexpected stamement from the parents of his friend. I have to admit that I was not really sold on Brad before the show started, however, as the show has aired and I have learned more about him from the show and also from statements by his friends ... and now this ... I have to say that I have grown to like him a lot. He seems to be kind, mature, well grounded and have a sense of fun, balanced with reality. Makes for a refreshing change from our last bachelor Ben...plus he's cuter with a better haircut!
