I guessed the girls cant swim at the beach as they need to be away from the paparazzi so save some money for this rental.
I know someone who is busy doing background checks on contestants for another reality show. What a shame she is not doing for The Bachelor. I could then get some info on some of the contestants.

I'm not surprised the mansion is inland, gives some more seclusion. I am more surprised at how dated the place is, though I guess a lot of renos could have happened in the last 8 years since it was sold.

I expect on the other hand that Bachie's place will be on the beach. Give the best of both words for promo / external shots.

Okay, so I found the house on AirBnb and Wotif, and I'm confused. If this is indeed the Bachie mansion, then, well.. it's not fully booked out between May and July on either site. It's available midweek all through June and completely available in July (which I do expect to be HTD and FS, so there's not really a use for it then, maybe). What are producers going to do, only stage RC's there and have the girls living somewhere else midweek?

I wonder if Todd could be included in this? Because his insta seemed like it was fully hinting at it a while ago and then it seemed like he stopped hinting at it.

there's no way he has been top of the betting for so long without there being a reason for it, so I think any list worth being a list has to include him somewhere.

And yeah, I've no interest in whatshisname Rance. Sports 'celebrities' just don't do it for me. Yawn, boring, next.

Also, sounds to me like things are still really up in the air and it's gonna be a bit of a weird season.

Either way I agree, Todd was being considered IMO and I got the impression he thought he had it in the bag.  SD said herself he was on the shortlist so it seems weird he now isn't being mentioned at all.  I wonder if TPTB auditioned him in Syd when he visited last month then later ruled him out?

Seems like maybe they were stringing a few guys along, while others were themselves non-committal.  Classic case of the ones who want to do it aren't up to the task and the cream of the crop wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

I don't really get working cop vibes from Todd, I have a suspicion that didn't work out, but I absolutely could be wrong! Maybe he himself made the decision not to be Bach for career/life reasons.

I was really looking forward to a Todd season but frankly given that the plan for shooting this season sounds like a total mess I'm thinking he might have dodged a bullet if it's not him.

You might be right about Todd & the police @leavers.  If it's another sporty dude it's a hearty "meh" from me.  

@Dumb do you know who this Rance guy is?  I think you've mentioned previously you're into footy players?

According to Wikipedia, Alex Rance was married in 2012 and separated in 2019. He is a devout Jehovah's Witness and has Indian heritage.

@Enough Thanks - good work.  Is there anything to indicate if he'll be playing next weekend?

ETA:  Just read the article and it looks like it's a once-off so I guess he might be free after that.  

ETAA:  Just also read about his religious leanings.  Seems like it's a huge part of his life.  His ex was also a Jehovah's Witness so I presume he'd prefer F1 to be.  And we do have an unusually high number of suspected contestants with godly references in their bios.  

That said, Jehovah's Witnesses are only 0.4% of the Australian population.  Surely the venn diagram of single JW women he hasn't already met who'd also be willing to go on this show must be microscopic and TPTB usually has a hard enough time casting as it is.

Need to check the girls again and try to discern which branch of religion they subscribe to.

@Bobette @Enough It's a huge reason why he pulled out of Locky's season. After his split from Georgia he wanted to focus on his religion.
