So, just looking at each thread and the first thing that caught my eye...the guy is 33 and his favourite thing to do is head to the beach at the 4th of July with a bunch of booze and a girl? What, did he stop aging at 18?

Stubborn, easily frustrated, likes to booze it up at the beach. Methinks this guy is immature and not what Ashley needs. Perhaps he'll surprise me though. Here's hoping.

I think it was the off the top resemblance to the dead ex. Something else I noticed is that he definitely said he doesn't care to dance. He will if he more or less has to. He has always wanted to salsa. Now I wonder why they threw that in on him. Is he F1, and that is to show us that she picked someone who doesn't share something she loves so dearly, or is just going to barely put up with it - not good in my not so hmble opinion. :geek:

Good point, B! If he is F1 then perhaps his 'roughing up' has already started if they make it seem that he doesn't appreciate her craft and passion. The recent F1s haven't been terrible like Vienna and Ed but they had a lot of red flags, real or TBTP-manufactured.

Oh, Lordy. He's sounding more and more like Ed Swiderski.

Let's hope he's not for Ashley's sake.

I think its interesting too that he is the oldest at 34...And Ashley is what? 26 or 27?And meant to say when Ashley was interview she said...Her most romantic date would consist of a night staying in with her guy, a bottle of wine, music and a roaring fireplace...
Sounds like that was her first 1:1 with JP..

He might turn out to be the next Ed Swiderski, but I sure hope not for Ashley's sake!! However, he wouldn't be the first person to change their opinion for their significant other. I hate Star Wars, but since I married a self-professed nerd, I put up with it for his sake. :giggle:

Okay Gina...you are reading my mind. He also said something like "saved the best for last" in his M&G out of the limo. I am getting a read on this guy that he has swagger but not any common interest with her. I am trying not to dislike him, but I got nothin to lead me there so far.

Even IF he is a good guy, I get the feeling he's not going to have a very good edit. Maybe it will be him and Ben F. in the finale : good vs. bad type thing. We know Ben is a sweet, caring guy whereas from J.P.'s biography and camera time so far, they are painting him as a type of frat guy. Whether that's accurate or not, who knows?

I totally agree. We know MF scripts all the bio's and interviews, etc. etc., so it will be interesting to see what JP's edit is on the show. I'm going to try and look past scripted edits (good luck on that) and concentrate more on interactions with Ashely etc.

I remember from one of Ashley's interviews that she said she had a front runner early on and it changed as time went on. Maybe the initial attraction to JP was due to the likeness to her ex but as time went on she realized he wouldn't replace her ex and she saw the attraction for what it was? Not saying JP isn't a great guy, but not the ex.

He looks like he could be Ashleys brother. Notice couples around you and you can see that some marry someone very similar in looks to themselves or family members.

I have a friend who married someone that could pass for her brother. They look like twins. I know what you mean. :o
