I listened to the podcast between Dez and DeAnna today (via Dez Instagram).... DeAnna said clearly she stopped watching the show because of the increased drama... I didn't like her much during her season but I think she is a good person. Her marriage, kids and away from the franchise mostly and also her honesty is refreshing.

I wished prods changed the format for more meaningful dates. I was hoping for some changes as we saw with Tayshia season...

guess not....

So they managed to stretch out one "week" of dates into two full episodes. I was hoping when she got rid of Thomas that she'd give the remaining rose to one of the 3 guys left, or take it to Blake.

She sure seems comfortable around Blake. Are we sure they never met in person? She states that this was the first time they met in person, which makes me suspicious, since she's lied about so much else. (Like in the first episode, saying she thought she'd be all alone with no host--when it was public knowledge Tayisha and Kaitlyn would be there.)

I do see why TPTB chose Katie though--she follows instructions well and cries on cue.

My favorite part of the episode was where the guys were on the group date, and were goofing around with each other in the way that friends do. One of the guys mentioned that the men selected for the date all happened to like each other and get along. You could tell. I liked that men that had not previously been spotlighted (Andrew M., Christian, etc.) got some time to shine. Tre has a lovely personality. He was cute and personable. Andrew S. is adorable. It was a terrific date.

And then we had the Thomas drama. Mr. "Here for the Wrong Reasons." I'm sure that the others did consider all of their possible outcomes (i.e. winner, fantasy suites, F4, the Bachelor, etc.,) but unlike Thomas, they had the wisdom to keep their mouths shut about it. I think with Thomas the issue was that his ambition was a little too obvious -- so obvious that it made it impossible to believe that he was there for any other reason. But I'm on the same page as Andrew S. that it would have been better to let Katie figure that out on her own. Does no one give her credit for being a smart, capable woman who would have caught on to Thomas sooner or later?

Blake -- I thought that Blake handled Katie's questions about pursuing two previous Bachelorettes about as well as he could. I did note that Katie was a bit flirtatious with him. The only other guys I saw her acting flirtatiously with tonight were Greg (a lot, I think at this point he was clearly maintaining the no. 1 spot,) and Michael A. I think she likes Andrew S. a great deal, but I'm not seeing the chemistry there. And with Justin, I'm not seeing anything at all. If he is indeed in the F4, why are the producers hiding him?
