I guess they were able to turn the viewers opinion of City Shaun around (miraculously, imo) in 1 episode. Maybe they will do the same with Jeremiah? I hope so, because it's such a shame to miss out on, what seems like, a real love story! It's like they have completely wasted a jackpot!!!

It's all good Gina! :hug: I know it gets frustrating! Some of those comments on FB are just plain mean.

Just some random and reckless speculation here...

Could it be that the bad edit was done to counteract the open communicating of Paige and Jeremiah via FB and twitter? In other words, the producers thought Paige and Jeremiah are giving the ending away so they are trying to confuse the public with the bad edit. And/or, the producers are mad at them (P &J) for being so open and are sending a message to any future SHA couples.

Absolutely that's what they're doing, and a couple other things: Sweet Home Alabama with a Minnesota winner? A bit of fear thatMinnesotans don't have following for anything but cold weather? They may have been trying to aim towards Bubba or big Shaun. New York or Alabama brings in more ratings on TV, at least it does for sports! Producers also seemed to like a theme of good guy vs. bad guy as I say in another thread. Producers are under time constraints when editing and that theme popped out and was easy to do with the last 5 guys they had. Couldn't make little Shaun a bad guy; Landon and Big Shaun were good guys and bad guys in one, and of course respectable - very Alabama sounding Bubba is the good guy. Bubba's wonderful but Jeremiah's a better choice for the Paige we've gotten to know. I do think Jeremiah was a bit tentative about the show at first so would be hard to make him the good guy. And they could find a few things to make him the bad guy.

Producers need to be careful - they can easily ruin good casting opportunities in the future - that's part of what's happened to B/B - people know how manipulative they are. They would have reeled us and all their 'targeted demographic' without the negative edit.

I don't understand why the producers are doing this to Paige and Jeremiah. I have a feeling they are not happy with the couple...the question is why? Have you noticed that CMT advertises Dustin's music on their site and not Jeremiah's? I think its a such a shame!

The producers can't blame Paige and Jeremiah; producers gave stuff away right away - letting Paige say her favorite star was Chuck - that was a give-away before the season started that Bubba wasn't going to bring butterflies. (But would for many others.) And truly, the tweets and facebook comments they make are only hints for those that are Jeremiah fans. Paige did give a few hints in her interviews but that's terribly hard to avoid when your as sincere and enthusiastic as she is. Bubba fans are finding lots to support their guy too.

JMHO I think the simple answer is what Lav discovered a while ago. There is a new producer this season that didn't work on season's 1 & 2. If that same producer had worked on season 3 then Jeremiah (the F1) would be getting similar edits to the ones Tristan & Adam were given.

I wonder if this is the direction they are taking SHA in future seasons?

I haven't seen the last few episodes. I will wait to watch them when I make the video. I'm wondering, what was edited so badly about Jeremiah?
