@GuardianAngel I hate this time of the year too. I wish congress here in the States signs off on WA State wanting to stay on Daylight savings so we wont have to do this every year. So many other states here have asked to not do this anymore and it needs to be approved. So ridiculous to be going through any time change turning clocks and stuff. It is not like it adds an extra year to our lives. Just Stop it I say!!! JMO.

@chasus71 same here. In Ontario Canada, we are waiting for Quebec and New York State to agree, then we'll not have to deal with it again. Half of the Federal Government is in Ottawa Ontario and the other half is in Gatineau Quebec, which is only separated by a river. So they have to be on the same time zone.

For New York we have so much trade crossing the border, we would have to be all in the same time zone.

I'm hoping this is the last time. Winter's are so long, the time change makes it feel like an eternity.

@GuardianAngel Oh wow thanks for the info I had no idea about NY and Ontario but it makes perfect sense; so the government needs to get it together and do what is right for the masses.

It is bad enough that the winters can be dreary with less light in the day, it is just time to stop time changing. I mean we are all still a year older no matter how many times the clocks go back and forth twice a year. Like we just don't need it anymore it really does not serve a purpose IMO anyhow.

In 2018, California voted to ban DST but the federal government is holding up the implementation of that law. Messy.

@Norcalgal Oh that's right totally forgot about that!!

Sure an extra hr of sleep but I hate that it's super dark in the mornings which makes it harder to wake up.

@Norcalgal I mean it is crazy how the States need permission from congress to stay on DST but can opt out of doing clock change from Standard time to DST. Congress just needs to abolish the entire law anyway and no clock change PERIOD. Then whenever it comes into affect THAT'S IT and deem it "REGULAR TIME" not hard to do.

@Linds911 I mean in all honesty, the days will change like this no matter if we mess with the clocks, like WHY? I mean it is the way it is obviously how the universe works. Over time it may get even more wacked, then what? we set our clocks ahead/back an additional 2 hours? like that is insane because we basically are not taking away an hour, we are basically on the same time. Give an hour, take away an hour, like we are at Zero no time saved nor lost within the calendar year

@Norcalgal thanks for that. I had no idea. For me it was always an old wives tale, I guess, that it was for the farmers and workers to get more production. So when they get up so early in the morning it was daylight earlier for them to start work.

I'd rather get up in the dark and have more daylight at the end of the day.
