Anyone else got red plaques after Pfizer vaccine? It happened April 30, 3 hours after my 1st dose and now 10 days later, some red plaques again. The vaccine site said that they did not hear of anyone else who had that reaction. Took some benadryl and it seems to be going away. 2nd dose is only in August.

@Fleurdesel I did hear of some people getting red blotchy itchy skin and benadryl helped. Did you speak with your doctor?
I got the Astra Zeneca with no side effects at all, not even a sore arm. Today I read if Ontario doesn't get enough AZ they will switch for the 2nd dose to either Pfizer or Moderna. I can't say I'm crazy about that. I hope I get the AZ for my 2nd shot in July.

@Fleurdesel I had two shots of Pfizer with no skin reaction. My only side effects felt like the flu after the second shot. Laid around all day and by day 3, everything was fine.

No one has heard of red itchy skin over here, I got it mostly on my chin and side of my face. But having a repeat experience 10 days after got me worried yesterday. I am seeing my doctor in June. My friend had the Astra Zeneca and got fever and flu like symptoms for 24 hours and was OK after that. She was worried for 20 days for the thrombosis. Her brother had a reaction but was treated quickly. I might go Astra Zeneca for the 2nd dose if available @Norcalgal I heard that with Pfizer the reaction are a bit worse at the 2nd dose!GuardianAngel wrote:@Fleurdesel I did hear of some people getting red blotchy itchy skin and benadryl helped. Fully vaccinated! I got 2 shots of the Moderna. First time I had a sore arm and was tired. Arm went numb couldn't even raise it unless I iced it. 2nd time, which was this past weekend, arm was sore again, and I had a slight fever. Finally felt better yesterday.

They announced today they are pausing the AZ. The stock they have now are being reserved for the 2nd shot. I'm not sure if that's going to last for me since my appointment isn't until July. We are starting to get million's of doses weekly now of Pfizer and Moderna so there will be plenty to go around. I read elsewhere the AZ people will get one of those that are available. Apparently stats out of the UK are favourable for two different types of shots. Yesterday I was not sure, I'm anxious now, I don't care what I get, just give me my 2nd shot!!
Someone I know had red spots all over her arms, the day after getting the Pfizer, but after taking Benadryl for a few days they disappeared.
Yay @Linds911!!

London is in mourning. I don't understand this hatred of people who are different than you. It is so sad. A little boy saw his whole family wiped out.

@Sprite I saw the memorial last night stretching 7kms. My heart aches for the family. Three generations gone in seconds. I don't understand why people don't treat everyone equally. It's sickening.
I've been looking for info on the boy. He remains in hospital but I'm hoping there are close relatives who will look after him.
