NHL - Regular Season Games - Playoffs - #3

That was far too late for me. I found some pictures of the night game, which were wonderful!

I spent many hours outdoors on frozen ponds while my son played hockey with his friends. So many memories for the guy's who grew up playing out doors. I'm sad I missed it. I'm hoping for a replay but there are too many games on today. It was great to see the old Quebec Nordiques logo on Colorado!!!

I'll watch tonight's game even though the Habs are on at the same time. ( I could use a break from them. )

@GuardianAngel A few days late but how did you feel about Canadians firing their coach? Was it expected? We went through a firing/hiring new coaches a couple yrs ago until we finally found one whose helping the team a lot.

@Linds911 fans have been asking for a firing for a couple of years now, if not more. The problem IMO is just hire a qualified coach, but because they are in Montreal, the owners insists on a French coach. Not that there aren't qualified French coaches, but if there were they'd be having good seasons, is the way I look at it. I think you can't have the old fashion style of coaching anymore. These kids are young, come from a different breed, they are fast, savy and high goal scores, so what the heck is the problem? Has to be coaching imo.

They were off to an incredible start, and now they are pathetic! Two games in with the new coach, and both loses. Geezzzz!

I wait for months for hockey to come back, then I hate them!

@GuardianAngel Thank you for posting that. I was wondering if they would be able to come to Canada for the funeral. Nice to know that they had been with him for the last 3 weeks.

@Sprite yes I was glad to hear Wayne say that they've been in Brantford for that long.

I didn't realize TSN was broadcasting the funeral. Just read that somewhere.

Wayne is right, we'd be a way better world if there were more like Walter.

COVID-19: Chatfield, Michaelis added to Canucks' concerning protocol list

The Vancouver Canucks were bracing for more bad news Sunday when new positive test-case numbers for the novel coronavirus were posted on the NHL’s protocol list. They got what they feared.

The list grew by two with Jalen Chatfield and Marc Michaelis and brings the official count to 16. However, there’s room for interpretation with the taxi squad and coaches. According to one report, and confirmed by an NHL source, more than 20 players and coaches have tested positive and some have experienced variant symptoms

That's scary, @GuardianAngel! I read about the surge in Vancouver and especially concerning that the P1 variant from Brazil is there. I hope the team and others have a speedy recovery.
