The LGBTQ community has criticized the choice of a rich, white and privileged football player for this show, but I have to disagree with that. The internal conflict with religion is something that Colton has in common with millions of people, and (like Netflix) it’s universal, not just American.

The problem here is Colton himself, his thirst for fame and his complete lack of morals. The level of deception and dishonesty from the moment he applied for the show until three years later when he used a burner phone to anonymously harass Cassie is overshadowing everything else.

They will not be able to address the stalking for legal reasons, and I don’t think they even want to. To me, that makes the entire show a big lie. If it was about someone else I would be interested to watch, but I’m not going to waste time on Colton.

Colton can do whatever he wants to, but my concern is with Cassie. Given the harm that he has caused her in the past, I hope that this new TV series does not cause her further harm. It would be atrocious if that were the case.

@Sprite Oh I agree. He won't go away and to me he's always looking to be relevant.

Reading that article, what a crappy way to tell his dad.

If he's still attracted to women but isn't bi, then I need some lessons.

@Norcalgal IA my friend went through a lot of heartbreaking years with her son. But, he went to design school, moved to NYC 30 some odd years ago and has worked with many famous designers.

This review (apparently written by a gay woman) is gold! laugh out loud

I particularly like this quote:

It sounds like although Cassie is mentioned, it’s not in a way that would force her to make a statement. That’s a relief.

@emiusacska I’m over the fact that an abuser is celebrated as “brave”, when in fact he has behaved a self-centered coward every step of the way. I’m over the most fame-hungry man in the history of the franchise. And I’m over tabloids that pretend there is not evidence for what Colton did on public court records.

@blueblues IA with the tabloids ignoring the fact that he stalked Cassie and to justify his actions she was the one who was suppose to clarify for him if he was straight or gay?? SCMIIW when you're gay, you know you're gay long before 30 something years sold.

This is another example of how he uses people, even his own family all the while claiming how important Church is. That's not the Christian way imo.

And it’s lots of awkward conversations with relatives who shockingly don’t know what to say when seemingly ambushed with a full camera crew

They can't address the Cassie stuff because of legal issues and I am glad. So over her

IMO they shouldn't have even stated they can't discuss Cassie because of the legal issues, and imo they shouldn't have mentioned her at all. Also, why did they ask her if she wanted to be part of the Netflix, if they aren't suppose to discuss the stalking?

Cassie was smart to refuse the offer. She probably learned her lesson during the famous CH interview.

He has his fans and people who support him, that's always a positive if he is able to ignore the negative. jmo's
