I drove by one of our Service Ontario licence bureau's yesterday and noticed a line up. I'm guessing they are taking one customer at a time.
Revenue Canada has extended the time frame for filing personal income tax from April 30th to June 1st.

The governor of Florida is delusional. He just basically said that Florida isn't in a bad situation right now and that the majority of their cases are located in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The rest of the state is good. He said "social distancing" is a good idea but I got the impression he is not going to put into place any restrictions. That state has a lot of residents and "snowbirds" that are in the most affected groups of people and he's not protecting them!
People are leaving Florida and taking the virus with them. Man, he makes me very proud of Governor DeWine!

This incredibly scary.
Nineteen long-term care facilities in Florida have either a suspected or confirmed case of the new coronavirus, top state health care officials said at a news briefing Wednesday.

The Registered Nurses Association of Ontario reports over 3000 retired nurses and nurse practitioners have responded to a call to come out of retirement to aid in the fight against COVID-19. Thanks for your caring response to this crisis. #Hamont @ontarionurses #onpoli #ontag

OMG. Such irresponsibility from a public official. There is no excuse. I bet he doesn't believe in climate change either.
That is wonderful that retired nurses and nurse practitioners have responded to come and come fight the crisis.
Sometimes I despair at the stupidity/selfishness of people and then I see something like this and it gives me some hope again.

I'm not sure why the Governor refused to close the beaches. It's not like those people live in the state. I'm sure most of them are tourists. Today was the worst day for the USA with 2300 new cases bringing the total to over 8000. Imagine how many more are infected, that can't get tested.
Two congressman tested positive.
WASHINGTON — Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart and Ben McAdams announced Wednesday that they have tested positive for the coronavirus, becoming the first members of Congress to do so since the pandemic was declared.
Diaz-Balart, a 58-year-old Republican from Florida, said he began experiencing symptoms on Saturday “including a fever and headache,” according to a statement from his office. He was informed that he tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, on Wednesday.

Please read my statement on contracting #COVID19. I have self-quarantined since first having symptoms and consulted with my doctor. #utpol pic.twitter.com/upx4NcTvF8

It's all about the money. Closing beaches is a big loss of tourist revenue for Florida. He doesn't have to take care of them when they leave sick, but their home state does.

cases in Florida jump by nearly 100 overnight; now at 314
TAMPA, Fla. - The known cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Florida jumped by nearly 100 overnight, reaching 314. Forty-two of the cases are in the Tampa Bay area, but the largest concentration remains in South Florida.
The new statistics were released by the Florida Department of Health late Wednesday morning. Of the 314 cases, 283 are Florida residents and six are Floridians who are out of state. The remaining 25 cases are non-Florida residents here in the Sunshine State.

@MiniDiva to NC for doing the right thing!
One more case in our region, total of four, which is a result of a family member of the first case who returned from Portugal.

Good social distancing Toronto! @spiritofyork will be selling the hand sanitizer until 6pm, if they don’t run out before then. They are making as much as they can, as fast as they can. pic.twitter.com/wbNZllorl6
